Tickease 098667 2 Sided Stainless Steel Tick Remover

Fantastic item that removed the tick that my dog picked up in the park. She is always on a lead but still the rotten tick got on her. I used it along with Beaphar Tick Away that freezes the Tick so that it is easier to remove and dispose of. Would recommend that every dog owner has one of these in the draw ready just in case they pick up a tick along with the Beaphar Tick Away.

Got them just incase, and first day in holiday we needed them. Got the tick out no problem. Good to have in your doggy kit bag

Useful tool to keep in the first aid box. Not needed it yet but reassuring t have standing by.

The tool looks to be well made, which is the most important thing. However, it didn't come with the magnifier or testing instructions that are featured on the product pictures.

I do field archery which means lots of walking in woods with plenty of insects around. I found a tick about 2mm in length on my calf and was able to get it out with no issues, fit for purpose

This tool is amazing. Went bush with a group of people into an area reputedly crawling with ticks and this tool removed every tick intact every single time. The trick is to pinch the tick as low down, at which point it will do a starfish impersonation, then give a quarter twist as you pull it out.

I purchased this tool a few months ago as I have an indoor/outdoor cat who adventures almost all day during the summer time (we live in a very safe and quiet neighbourhood) and although I have always made an effort to check her regularly I realized after the vet discovered a tick deep in her ear that the tweezers at home I would have resorted to would not be the safest option if I had found it first and needed to remove it myself. A few days ago I just used this tool for the first time as I noticed immediately when my cat had a small tick right on her face under her eye and it worked perfectly! It is important to know the technique to slowly twisting it out even with a perfect tool as you do not want to risk the head detaching and staying in the skin. However if your cat or dog wriggles around to much in the process and the head does detach the long curve pointed tweezer side is perfect for getting rid of it so long as you can do it safely yourself without causing more irritation to the bite. I also love that it is solid metal so I can sterilize it in some boiling water after use!

I honestly thought this was a silly thing to have. But we just moved to the country and my mother arrived for her visit with one, ready to fight off the hoards of inevitable ticks that happen when you live not in an urban area. While we had been mercifilly tick-free, our dog - very much loving his new country life - had not been so lucky. And while the monthly tick medicine will kill ticks after a couple of days of being attached, we checked the dog consistently to remove any we found. This went in the usual way, with tweezers and a fair bit of pulled fur and causing the tick to explode more often than not. Thinking this was simply how it was to be, we just did it. But then this beautiful instrument was handed to me when I asked my visiting mother for a pair of tweezers to remove the latest offender from the dog. IT IS AWESOME. It slides the tick right out, in one whole piece (rather than a bloody mess), it doesn't pull out a chunk of fur, and it keeps the little sucker (literally) held captive so you can kill it in the method you prefer. I am buying more of these.

Very good works fine, very solid

My dog had gotten a tic and it was very small. What was worse, it was attached to his face right under his eye! We live in the woods and while we treat the lawn and protect our pets as much as possible, we can't be 100% tic free. Normally, regular tweezers usually do the job, but this was no ordinary tic and in a very delicate spot. This product does what it says and as soon as we opened the package, we called FIDO over and in a split second, the tic was out of his face!! It was removed with ease & my dog never even knew what happened. Plus the whole tic was removed, legs and all. Now he's a dead tic. Great product and I highly recommend, esp for tic removal on your pets.
