Rifle/Pistol Cleaning Patch Jag (.45 Cal)

A big positive to the fact these jags get in to areas most jags do not. Definitely a more thorough cleaning. However, they are very, very tight. So tight I had to pound the cleaning rod down the barrel.Tip, start your cleaning with a patch with some "slippery" solvent. Hoppe's 9 works okay, but ballistol is a better initial patch choice. Trying to put a dry patch down on the first run is just asking for sticking and trouble. After you have the barrel "wet" the dry patches seem to be okay.Tip, put the patch over the end and then tug on the bottom to create a "pocket" in the nose. If you don't do this the patch will fall/slip off. With the pocket formed they stay securely on the end of the jag.

The rubber rings roll off the tip and get stuck in the barrel. There are better ways to clean the bore. Not worth the money.
