**Q: Does the 10oz. Silicone require purchasing a special caulk gun? I was previously shipped tubes made of metal with pull tap opening like on a soup can**
A: I was concerned as well but it has an internal plastic follower cup that a traditional caulking gun presses against: Similar to the traditional caulk tube. The additional metal seal helps to prolong the storage of the adhesive sealant.

**Q: Has anyone tried mixing a color pigment into the glue before application?  Will this effect the cure?**
A: I have not and can only advise you give 3M support line a call and ask them and if you can I am sure they will tell you which coloring to use.  I would not just mix in any color you don't know how the glue will react to it.  Give 3M a call I am sure they will be glad to help.

**Q: My kitty put a couple of pin hole sized punctures in my scuba bcd, causing a small, slow leak.  will this patch it?**
A: Yes it will. Allow five days to cure. Don’t use the fast cure.

Purchased this product to attempt to seal a challenging flashing issue which has three different material in an awkward transition. I removed all the material from the previous two attempts to waterproof the area, leaving a larger than previous opening to work this material into. After cleaning and prepping the surfaces, I began to applying this 3M product. It is thick, but not problematic to dispense - possibly other reviewers were dispensing through a smaller orifice than me - I used the full tube opening without a tip. The product is exceptionally easy to manipulate and smooth out - almost putty like. Unlike other products like silicone and polyurethane, it didn't stick much to my applicator and thus stayed were I wanted it (without sag) and also smoothed out easily. Bottom line is it adhered to all three materials, filled the voids perfectly, looks great, and the leak is no more! I highly, highly recommend this product - it's amazing!
