Green Bell G-1205 Nail Clipper (Takumi No Waza)

My search for the perfect nail clipper has ended. Unlike drugstore items, this clipper is sharp, solid, easy to use, clips with just gentle pressure, worth every penny.

Better than any clipper I've ever used. This was a recommendation on a ukulele site from a well-known ukulele player. It is best to keep those nails trimmed on the chord-forming hand. I figured he knew what he was talking about, so I decided to order the Green Bell Clipper. It is very sharp and cuts those nails with ease. It is large enough to handle toenails. too.

These nail clippers are amazing! Sturdy, well built, and sharp as a samurai sword. Cuts very cleanly, you can even get away without filing. Would make a great gift also. Highly recommend!

They're super sharp & cut nails!

So I have three pairs of these, because they are excellent clippers. Unfortunately, the latest pair I purchased had som e quality issues which I didn't notice until after the return period was past. On this pair, a hangnail is produced on one side of the clippers if you clip directly in the middle or to that side of the blades. It's a very slight hangnail, but when feeling the nail or running your nail over cloth material, it is very obvious. Also, if you turn these over and clip with them, it leaves a noticeable ragged edge. It looks like the blades overlap just a bit on this pair which I think is the problem. These were my office pair so I didn't use them right away. Bummer. A nail file cleans up my nail edge well enough but I like these because my other pairs were a beautiful clean cut. So only four stars since my others are so nice and it's my fault for not noticing the issue soon enough to exchange them. I would still buy this brand.

Prior to trying these Green Ball clippers out, I owned the Klhip Ultimate Clipper, which is also Japanese-made. I've owned the Klhip since around 2011 and they have not dulled down... I had a friend recommend these Green Ball clippers to me after he saw I had the Klhips, and heard how much they cost. So, I bit the bullet and spent a whole $13 on the Green Ball G-1205 and, I must say, even though I'd owned the Klhips for so long, the Green Ball clipper is INSANELY sharp. They must be 10x sharper than the Klhips... I just can't believe the quality of these for such a low price. I'm not a shill, I was not paid to make this review, the clippers speak for themselves. I should also note, these are large... I did use this set to cut both my toe and finger nails and they worked great for both! With that said, I know many people here in the US are used to using a separate clipper for their toe nails. There IS a smaller model in this same form factor; the model G-1204. I wasn't able to find it on Amazon, so I bought a set on eBay and we'll see how those perform. Also, after doing some research, I've found that these ARE the replacement to the infamous G-1008 model, with a similar form-factor and some basic upgrades (primarily aesthetic). If you're on the fence, there's no need. This is the way to go. They're beyond razor sharp and make clipping your nails a breeze. They also have a super high-quality diamond file on the back-side of the handle. Hopefully these hold a good edge and last.

Fijne nagelknipper. Ligt goed in de hand, super scherp. Stevige constructie. Hoogwaardige afwerking. Ik ben heel tevreden.

Dieser Nagelknipser ist um Längen besser als alles, was wir bislang probiert haben. Mein Mann hat sehr harte und dicke Fußzehennägel. Unser alter Knipser (Solingen Niegeloh) tat sich da recht schwer. Also haben wir eine Nagelzange/-schere (auch Solingen, sehr gute Bewertung auch für dicke Nägel) probiert. Leider funktionierte es damit noch schlechter. Sogar bei meinen weichen Fingernägeln musste ich so viel Kraft aufbringen, dass mir die Handflächen etwas wehtaten. Infolge der Bewertung hat der Verkäufer uns zwei Ersatzartikel geschickt, aber die waren auch nicht besser. Sogar Schleifen der Schneidekante half nicht. Nach langer Recherche und dem Lesen vieler Bewertungen habe ich mich gegen die hier bekannten Marken (Zwilling, Wilkinson & Co) entschieden, um es mal mit einer japanischen zu riskieren. Ich bereue es keinen Augenblick. Dieser Knipser war sogar günstiger als die hochgelobte Nagelzange/-schere, schneidet aber durch den dicken Fußnagel wie durch Butter. Für meine Frauenhände ist er ein kleines Wenig zu groß, aber ich benutze ihn trotzdem sehr gern.

Coupe précise bonne ergonomie acier qualitatif design plaisant. Japonais qualitatif !
