Bought a Second One After 2 Years of Use
This is a good yoga mat if you need some extra cushioning. I specifically need a thicker mat so my knees don’t hurt during workouts, and this provides enough thickness and support for me. I’m 5'8", and the mat is long enough for my whole body to fit comfortably on it. This is actually the second one I’ve purchased. My first was the orange color and lasted about two years before it started losing some of its resilience. Eventually, there was visible pitting where my knees and hands regularly rested, even though I rotated the mat. Comparing the two, I can immediately tell that the new one is firmer and provides more support. I wish the first had held up a little longer, but for the price, two years of use seems reasonable. I went with green this time, and both the orange and green colors have been true to the product photos. One difference I’ve noticed is that the green shows grease/oil marks where my hands, face, etc. touch the mat. I never noticed this during the entire time I owned the orange one, so this may be more noticeable depending on the color you choose. One other thing to know is that these have a pretty strong smell when first unwrapped. I left mine unrolled on the floor, and the smell went away. The included carrying strap is unfortunately pretty useless for me. I used it to carry the mat once, and the straps shifted around enough that the mat felt like it was going to slide out. I wouldn’t rely on it if you plan on carrying the mat around regularly.

Worth the price
Love this. Makes workouts sooo much easier on the knees and back. The soft cusion and thickness makes it worth the price.

The brand to beat? Seems like it. Thick and safe. Nice and grippy
I needed the thickest yoga mat I could find because I have terrible balance and I was sure to take a tumble sooner not later. I shopped diligently. I checked out Costco - great price but the thickness wasn't there. I scoured Amazon comparing price and thickness. Turns out the thicker mats were priced significantly higher than Gaiam. Now who knows what deal will make my results obsolete. Well I unpacked the mat and checked it out with a few poses. Yup, right then and there within one minute I took a tumble. Luckily I landed on the mat. It did it's job and only my dignity was hurt. No bruises except to my ego. But with my horrid balance it could easily have turned out differently. I think I should buy at least two more. Cuz I ain't going to land perfectly every time. And no more standing balance poses for me. With the critical safety feature well demonstrated and cost effective come other issues. The mat is a relatively standard size for a quality yoga mat. I have certainly tried to save money and ended up with smaller and thinner mats. But back then my balance was significantly better and the trade off seemed reasonable. It seems to have a permanent curve in the mat. Makes it easy to roll but there is definitely an up and down surface spreading the mat. The harness to hold the mat is very secure, holds well but not the most convenient on the planet. The surface is nice and grippy very important to me. The mat has just enough give that you can sink your toes in a little bit. Excellent! Boy do I need that. Assuming I can stay balanced the whole time this is a comfortable (!) mat and if I just bounce off then you should not experience pain from extended standing poses.

A lot of value for the price
Nice and thick, but still has good stability. The ridges are really nice - they give the mat a nice feel and they help with grip. I've only had it for a month with light use, so I cannot speak to longevity.

Super Comfortable, Perfect for Joint Support
This mat has been great for my home workouts. The extra thick cushioning really makes a difference for my knees and hips during floor exercises and stretching, so much more comfortable than my old thin mat. The surface has just the right amount of grip too, no slipping around even during more active sessions. There was a slight foam smell when I first unrolled it, but it went away after airing it out for a day or two like expected. It rolls up easily with the strap for storage, super convenient.

Cushioned, Easy to Pack Up
Nice and thick cushion perfect for someone doing pilates on hardwood. I imagine it would work pretty well for yoga or stretching exercises too. Felt decently spacious for me as a 5'4 woman but still very portable when rolled up with the straps! I love that the straps have stretch.

Great standard pad
I liked it. Thick and durable. Pretty standard pad. Safe choice. Pretty purple color. I appreciate the black carrying strap. Great price. Similar black ones for $35 at Target.

Great Mat for Comfort and Support – Perfect for Home Workouts!
I am buying it again after 3 years. It has been a staple in my daily fitness routine and now my wife’s too. Whether We are doing yoga, stretching, or floor exercises, this mat offers excellent support and comfort. The pic next to my 3 year old mat. Extra Thickness: The 2/5-inch thickness provides great cushioning for my knees, wrists, and back—perfect for anyone who needs extra support during workouts. Non-Slip Surface: The textured surface helps prevent slipping, even during more intense sessions or when I start to sweat. Lightweight with Carry Strap: It’s surprisingly light for its thickness and comes with a handy carrying strap, making it easy to take to the gym or a park. I’m really happy with this mat. It’s comfortable, supportive, and durable—definitely a great investment for anyone serious about yoga or home workouts.
