Clairol Natural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Dye, 4RV Dark Burgundy, 3 Pk

They keep doing away with the color I buy for long periods of time so was skeptical about buying a new color in bulk without trying but I love the color. It is not an in your face color but it is bold and pretty. I get lots of compliments about it and my grey roots are already starting to show.

Love the color! I have purchased many times both online and in store. It has great coverage and always comes out the same color.

This is probably one of the better demi dyes. It takes pretty well to gray hair just leave it on longer after saturating it. I don't like coloring my hair too often and this dye fades out very nicely so the fade and change in color is very gradual. For me 1 dye process lasts for a couple months as I don't mind the gray peaking thru since my gray is distributed all over my scalp. This photo is at approximately 9 weeks.

I've been using various shades of Natural Instincts off and on for decades (currently 4RV on my medium-dark brown hair with some grays). I like that it keeps natural variation in color rather than making your hair flat, 1-tone like box permanent dyes. On my hair it has always stained long-term, so be forewarned. I redo it every 6 weeks or so as my roots come in and the top lightens a bit, but after the first couple of inches the hair has been dyed over several times and doesn't really fade. This has happened with all the colors I've used. That's fine with me. But if you're thinking you'll use this color for a month or two and will then be back to your natural color when it fades, you're going to be upset.

I really like this shade, but it definitely comes out lighter on strawberry blonde hair than the box suggests. Instead of a deep burgundy, it turned into a soft chocolate‑cherry color — still very pretty, just not as dark or dramatic. If you’re starting with lighter hair, just keep in mind that the final color will be more of a warm reddish‑brown with cherry tones rather than a true dark burgundy. Still, it’s a lovely shade and fades nicely over time.

I left it on my black straight hair for 30min, I literally had no color deposited 😪 but made my hair very manageable and soft for 2-3 weeks

I had to rinse my hair 30 times. I figured okay fine I’ll just take a shower too. The water continued being red so I shampooed. I’m in there for a solid 30 mins. The water continues to look like I made a blood bath. Anyways fast forward I give up. I asked my boyfriend to rinse my hair cus I got lazy. I dunked and soaked and massaged my scalp 10 times. The water stillll red. So again I shampooed and the water finally started looking clear. Also btw my hair was platinum and I dyed it this red thinking it may look a bit lighter in the images. I was wrong it was just as dark as the box said it would be.

Shiny and silky burgundy color. No allergic reaction occured

Nobody should buy this, not even gave me 1% of color into my hairs. Totally disappointed. Want my money back.

I find Clairol the best. Love the colours and it adds body
