Clairol Natural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Dye, 6 Light Brown | Ammonia‑Free, Vegan Hair Color with Coconut Oil & Aloe Vera | Pack of 3

I've been using this hair dye for several years now. It's easy to use and provides great coverage. It doesn't have the nasty smell that many hair dyes have.

I have used several of the Natural Instincts brunette shades over the last decade. Very satisfied with this brand. After researching for the healthiest hair color option available, this is it. I have a few sporadic grays and this will also slightly color them if I heavily saturate those areas and leave it on for about 30 minutes. The grays don’t absorb the color in an opaque manner, but it definitely helps them to blend in very well. My hair has stayed very healthy. I recently went to a salon to try to remove some of the dark brown Natural Instincts color out to transition to light brown, which is more of my natural shade. They were able to get years of this color on my very long hair to remove easily with no visible hair damage. I received many light brown highlights that will help me to grow out and use light brown on my roots versus dark brown for my roots moving forward. My research shows that the developer used in this box is about 20 volume. You can also go to a beauty supply store and buy a Clairol mix that is comparable with separate developer but I find this easiest to just buy at my grocery store. One bottle will usually get me four different front root touchups done every three weeks.

I've used this brand for 20+ years and I am very comfortable with it because it is so gentle and easy to use. My natural color is light brown, and I usually order the light brown (suede) color which is a bit darker than I like. Hair dye usually runs much darker than you expect, so error on the side of applying lighter color, easier to go darker next time around if it's not what you wanted. The color softens after 1-2 weeks so light brown has worked okay for me although it's darker than I like initially. I decided to try dark blond to see if this would work better for my light brown hair. Unfortunately the lighter color does not cover grey as well, so I will be sticking to light brown, although it's not perfect. Covering grey is the main reason I color my hair, so will have to settle for a darker color. Natural Instincts does leave your hair soft, and the color choices are pretty great. You can go darker in the winter months, add red in the fall, etc. for some pizazz and variety.

Love this stuff!! It works perfectly and can’t beat the price! My hair turned out such a pretty dark brown but wasn’t left feeling rough! Highly recommend!!

I use this to dye my eyebrows. The color is nice, and it's semi permanent which means there's no bleaching chemicals. Only takes 30 min and you can't beat the price! It will temporarily stain your skin so apply carefully a day or two before an event/photo session!

Did not cover white hair, light pigment. Did not stain either

Used for years great coverage of any grays. GREAT CONDITIONING OF COLOR ITSELF. LOVE THE CONDITIONER ADDED. very nice of them to add it in. I do light or medium brown.

Wow wow wow !! J’avais les cheveux bleacher et j’avais fais une teinture mauve foncé , j’arrivais plus à faire partir le restant de mauve alors j’ai essayé cette teinture. Le résultat est incroyable !! Reste à voir la tenue mais je suis stupéfaite! Doux pour les cheveux aussi le conditionneur qui vient avec est formidable ! Je vais mettre une photo avant et une après.

I have been using dark brown box dye for a long time. I finally was able to bring my hair back to a light brown. I wanted to touch up my roots so I bought LIGHT brown BUT I ended up with dark brown hair even darker then before. I wanted to cry. Not sure why this happened even though I left it for only 20 min. Now hoping it really does wash out like it’s suppose to. Buyer beware.

Didnt do anything to my hair, instead of getting lighter color it just makes my hair super dark!!!!

I bought 2 of this item. Used one but opened the second one to use today and found bottle 2 for activation of the color was empty. Appears had dried up.bottle did not have cap so it had spilled in thbox
