The string was relatively short, even for an average waist it was hard to get a secure knot. The pants did not last very long, bled color in the first wash. I think I was able to wear them three or four times before the seat tore. The material was very thin and even though they were black could nearly see right through them.Many better options available on Amazon. Maybe there are more than one type of pants produced by this seller? These are comfortable for lounging around the house and on my hammock while camping. I am just able to tie them around my 40" waist. I was hoping it would have a small pocket like others I have purchased, but these do not.
