Like other reviews I'm not sure about the strength of the glue strip backing. I purchased this to cover a gap between the frame and the top of a garage door which it has done brilliantly. It's not moving backwards and forwards across the ground as some reviewers installed at the bottom of their doors so the glue seems to be holding all right at the moment. However I don't think that installing this at the base of a door which is being opened and closed frequently, it would stay stuck, you may need to use additional adhesive.

I thought I had ordered a tough length of rubber seal to go along the top of my garage door. The picture looked good, the description says it will fill gaps between 0 to 28mm and that it is good to seal along the bottom of my garage door or any other part of the door. When it arrived I found a small package about the size of a large roll of electrical insulation tape measuring 7cm in diameter and 25mm wide. The tape is not much thicker than electrical insulation tape and was certainly not how it was described in the add. Seals gaps of 0-28mm??? If its its only 25mm wide I think I may struggle fixing it to 3mm of air! The last picture I have shown is the box of garage door threshold rubber I purchased at the same time which shows a product closer to what I was expecting, and more importantly what you should be using on your average exterior garage door.

I might have been a bit naive here but I had assumed this 'tape' would have been thick enough and robust enough to go in a straight line, if noting else, but it is flimsy, very thin and I am not sure it is up to the job I wanted it for, I had I wanted it to seal a gap between two doors on my newly built summerhouse, just a draught or weather seal but, and this bit I will take some of the blame for, I couldn't get it straight down the edge of the door as I'm not tall enough to reach and a step ladder inside the summerhouse meant for the few inches out of my reach I just couldn't see the edge properly, so it looks a bit wobbly at the top of the door, the rest wasn't too bad as I used the fold in the tape to run down the edge so I hadn't pressed down hard on the sticky bit at that moment so went to move the tape slightly to straighten it but it had stuck well and has taken the paint off the edge of the door.. I'm going to leave it were it is for now and get a proper rubber door seal at a later date, the weather is getting nasty here again today so I guess I' going to find out soon if this stuff can redeem itself. I doubt it though as the little bit of wind that has blown up already is moving the flimsy material so draught proofing for an outside edge of a door it is not. I should have stuck with my plan when I first received it and sent it back but then I thought hey maybe this will work ho, no way. I've given it an allover 2 star rating for its stickiness if it had come off without taking the paint with it I would have liked to be in the position of giving it 0 points, all that stuff did was waste 20 minutes of my time. from measuring, cutting, getting the stepladder out etc, maybe if I had taken just as long to stick the stuff on I might be happy enough for a temporary measure but it certainly isn't a permanent solution, Oh well ack to the drawing board as they say!

RUBBISH, COULD OF USED SOME BLACK INSULATING TAPE.. WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME JOB. WASTE OF MONEY.
