ORIGINAL: I did a lot of research to try to find the magnetic car mount that would be the strongest because I have a large battery case around my phone which dramatically increases the weight. This magnetic mount turned out to be very strong. The battery case I have is the "iPhone 6 Plus Battery Case, Foxin 8000 mAh Extended Battery Case Rechargeable Power Bank Charging Case for iPhone 6 Plus." I use it for my iPhone 6 plus (the bigger/heavier one). If you look up that case or look at the pictures I posted, you can see how large the case is and why I thought it might be too heavy for a magnet. I drove around all day making sharp/fast turns to see if I could knock my phone off this mount and it did not slide in any direction at all. Coincidentally, I almost got in an accident on the highway when a guy in front of me went from ~ 55 mph to ~ 10 mph in about 1.5 seconds by slamming on his breaks. I slammed on my breaks and made a jerking turn into the shoulder. The stuff in my passenger seat hit into the dashboard and fell onto the floor but the phone did not slide or move. So the magnets they use are about as strong as any phone could need. The mount came with two metal plates (one big and one small) which have an extremely sticky adhesive on the back. The little pegs on the back of the mount are very strong but CAN be bent under enough force. I bent mine slightly (while intentionally trying to bend them) but I don't think any vent would bend them or someone could accidentally bend them. UPDATE: The vent mount did not hold to the vent after about a week or two. I bought the dashboard adhesive version by the same company with the same magnet strength. The new, dash mount is great and I have no complaints. Because the new mount is good I have decided not to deduct any stars but I do not recommend the vent version of this car mount.

Yes!!! This is clutch. Stick plate on your phone case, jam the pad onto you air vent and you are off to the races!! It’s sooo easy to use everyday, you don’t have to get the phone exactly right and it still sticks. No notes, does what you need it to!

This SCOSCHE magnetic phone mount system is by far the best phone mount I have ever owned - and I have owned dozens and dozens in search of the right one. I am a district manager - and travel 500-600 miles a week, and there are those times (at a red light of course) where you just need to take your phone out of the mount for just a second to see something up close, or to dial a number, or to update your GPS location. With almost every other mount that is a pain in the a** - usually requires two hands, or pulls the mount off the dash because it hold the phone too well. With this system, there are so many options - you can find the exact right one for every possible scenario. I have have different mounts in my car, my wife's car, my "toy" Polaris Slingshot - and now in my mother-in-law's car as well. I also just ordered one of the dash mounts to use on my desk so my phone is always upright and within reach there as well. I have a number of friends who have also purchased since they saw mine. The magnet is just the right strength - it never rattles free even when I am doing some country road driving in the Slingshot - but always easy to take off to use. You can rotate our phone to keep it at any angle for GPS apps, etc. When not on the mount, the little magnetic plate is quote discrete - and if you use a case it works perfect without even sticking it to the back of your phone. Really - I can't say enough good things about this system. Wish I would have thought of it myself!

It is just that, a pin that holds your phone via magnet. Easy, simple and get the job done. I bought this to replace the one I accidentally left in a rental, which I had for over 5 years.

I love this car phone mount. I have vertical vents in my car and many vent mounted phone holders are designed for horizontal vents. This would work for both. It was inexpensive and it works great! It doesn't look big and bulky either. In fact, no one would even notice it. The only slight negative is that I have an Iphone 6splus and since its such a large phone it covers the vent almost completely. But thats ok, I have others! I did put an extra magnetic strip in my case so that no matter how I place the phone on the holder it holds it quickly. With just the one supplied you have to be pretty specific about getting the phone on the holder exactly where the magnetic sticker on your phone is. I have had other magnetic holders (in my old car, but it was attached so I let the new owner keep it), so I had an extra magnetic sticker thing. Yes, it works fine with the supplied one, I just added the second to make it easier for me. I love this mount. Give it a shot!

The product is great. It works well... I was so excited for it to come in. It was super easy to put together both on my phone & in my car. HOWEVER, I was super bummed to realize that I couldn’t wirelessly charge my phone anymore. So unfortunately this isn’t the product for me.

Great product for the price. Creates a place to hang your cell phone/device without worrying about sticking it too far back (depends on design of dash) or if you want to pop it in a rental car to have secure place to mount your own gps so it's readable or not use suction cups. Two way mounting allows for mounting to small or large vent fins. A must buy for people without built in navi in their cars, and still good for people with navi if you like seeing your phone and not bend your connector when you place your phone in a cup holder. The only drawback is that you cannot angle your device when you mount it, and hard bumps can cause your phone loose if you decide to mount it at an angle anyway like I did (15 Camry). Mounted better in rental cars (RAV4 and Altima) thus far.

The magnet is super strong! I use this in my work van, constantly getting in and out of it as I arrive and leave customer sites, taking my phone with me each others time. The spring loaded clips just wear out. I used the small square plate over the larger rectangle due to my wireless charging. The plate is not magnetized and having the phone on the magnet has not messed upy companss or GPS or anything else about the phone. The vent clip is solid and lightweight. The prongs do not rotate as do the typical spring vent clips because the phone can be freely rotated and positioned on the magnet at any angle. This makes the vent clip sturdy. Will he buying again to have the magnetic vent clip in my personal vehicle.

Great product easy to install and works perfectly

We have tried numerous gadgets to keep our iPhone in place and this is the ONLY one that actually works. This works on our angled vent due to the larger opening of the insertion. Well made and strong magnet. Highly recommend!

Very simple but great. Nothing to break. Perfect if you in and out of your vehicle a lot. One tip though best to use both steel plates in cover so that if you press button lower down the phone as on iPhone it won't push it off the magnets. Very good quality product. Highly recommended.

After owning other car mounts this is by far the best, I previously owned a Kensignton suction mount which is now used in another vehicle. The scosche magnetic mouth supports the phone nicely and gives the flexibility of changing to vertical or horizontal positions as well as moving to other vents without fuss. Will definitely be buying another one for my wife's car.
