Great product!!
I purchased a foldable electric wheelchair about two years ago and I couldn't be more satisfied with both the product and the customer service.First, the quality of the wheelchair is exceptional. It is constructed from durable materials that feel sturdy yet lightweight. The foldable design is incredibly convenient, allowing me to store it in the trunk of my car without any hassle. The battery life is impressive, providing hours of use on a single charge, and the chair operates smoothly on various terrains, including grass and gravel. My mother has been able to enjoy it very much and not miss out on outdoor family events. What truly sets this product apart, though, is the outstanding customer service. From my initial inquiry to post-purchase support, the company has been responsive, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They provided thorough answers to my questions. The delivery was prompt, and the wheelchair arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition. Additionally, they followed up after the purchase to ensure everything was to my satisfaction and offered continued support if needed.Overall, this foldable electric wheelchair has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and functionality. Coupled with top-notch customer service, it has been a fantastic investment. I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable, comfortable, and convenient mobility solution.

Great Wheelchair--Fantastic Support Service
I'm giving this "off road" wheelchair 5 stars (10 if I could) because:1. The learning curve to go from novice to proficient takes 5 minutes--and I'm a klutz.2. Operating the joystick and steering the chair proficiently is easier than running a bumper car at the State Fair3. It turns on a dime4. The seat is comfortable--like a living room side chair5. Thankfully I'm not wheelchair bound, but that said, getting in and out of this chair is a snap6. It's childproof--the grandkids love taking it for a spin. It doesn't go too fast and it's not "tippy"7. It's "cool." Trust me, when you're in a wheelchair, looks count.Customer Support--Exceeds Expectations because:1. A live person answers the phone. No "press 1, 2, 3 . . . 27" .( If you get the machine, a live person will call you back shortly, even if you didn't leave a message.)2. This customer service rep will Know What He/She's talking about!!!3. The rep's I've spoken to are Patient, Helpful, and will take the time to discuss anything--from mailing speed and costs and options to the advantages of a reclining chair to how to locate the elusive batteries--if you've misplaced the manual like I did.4. And if you're really lucky, Al will be the one to take your callMy Experience:Twenty years ago our son was paralyzed after his brain tumor metastasized. He needed a left-hand operated electric wheel chair to be mobile and none was to be found locally or in the nearby metropolitan areas. By the time we got the call that one was available, he had passed on the night before. So, yes, I have electric wheelchair issues.Three years ago I auto-immune issues that -among other things- made walking painful and difficult. Needed a walker, then crutches, then a cane . . . . Not complaining because the condition was and is improving. But it meant I couldn't handle long treks, like our annual trip to the Renaissance Festival with the Grandchildren. Went in 2018 in a push wheelchair that put far too much strain on my husband. So the next year I bought this wheelchair through Amazon Prime..Best. Purchase. Ever!!!But, by the time I made up my mind to make the purchase, getting it on time to go the RenFest was "iffy" so I called Customer Service and they were so helpful about delivery times, etc. I made up my mind to purchase their wheelchair then and there. To be continued . . .

Great power wheelchair.
I am quickly falling apart body wise. Arthritis is taking over and especially the knees. I have limited walking range and I am missing out on a lot of activities that require some walking and resulting pain. This chair is the ticket for that. I searched around quite a while before I decided this chair worked best for me. The price and features were reasonable compared to similar products. Upon receiving the quality exceeded expectations. I am a machinist/ engineer and appreciate good quality and design. It folds easy and unfolds the same. Has great turning radius. Comfortable removable seat for cleaning with handy pocket on the seat back for things. Arm rest lift out of the way for side exit. Joy stick can be used left or right and extended if needed. It has a spring suspension on the rear to help eliminate those rough surface jolts. Quick release motors for pushing or transporting folded. I have an RV and a small SUV. I didn't want to deal with hitch mount platform with outside exposure to weather and spray debris that heavy scooters require. This chair folds and easily stores in my vehicle and in putting in my narrow RV entry door. Comes with a water resistant cover for outside transport in bad weather. Can't wait to use in our upcoming trip on ocean boardwalk and can now do the whole length to visit all the shops. I highly recommend this product. The vendor of the product straightend out a shipping issue and was in constant communication which was a great help.

Really nice chair with lots of plus features
PROSโThis chair is all terrain which is nice. โBig tires on the back. Makes for easier travel on gravel and rough spots. Does not spin out on wet grass too often.โThe power of the chair is super. Would not recommend for a very senior person. I have been wheelchair bound for 8 years, and handle a chair well. I power the chair on only 1 or 2 in the house. It goes to 5. I would only increase the speed if out doors on a sidewalk or street.โThe 2 batteries are very easy to remove. They were very welcomed on the airplane. They are only 4 lbs each.โ Bag under the chair is very handy.โ Chair can be switched from power, to manual push, with a flip of a button very easily.โ Solidly constructedโ I use the seat belt to wrap around the handles so it stays securely closed when folded.โ Folds to a convenient size. Compact.โ Easy to fold and unfoldโ Can roll like luggage when folded upComes with a cover. Fully assembled when it arrivedConsโ The chair is heavier than I thought. It is truly 58 lbs. , which is difficult for 1 to lift. With 2 it is better. Even removing the batteries it is 50 lbs. Thought it would be easy for me to lift from the folded position, acrossed my lap, to the passenger seat. It's not. I struggle with the lift independently since I have to be seated. My son struggles from the ground, to the back of his suv. He has a bad back.โ May be difficult for an older person to put in trunk.โ I was afraid if I got a lighter chair, it might tip over easily. Additionally, I needed the all terrain traveling tires.โ Side note: when flying with it. You do not have to pay to check it. They will however, check tag it, and it goes in cargo below. The batteries can be placed with staff in the plane closet, or go in cargo bin. You will need to make arrangements with airlines accessibility dept. It takes some prep when traveling in a wheelchair.โ Foot peddle could be a bit bigger.โ Joy stick is very sensitive.โ Fenders over wheels sometimes rub thru doors. Go very slowly.โ Seat could be thicker, but is comfortable. I put a trash bag over it to keep it clean and dry. I have another cushion on top of the cushion.โ โ โ The batteries are not readily available yet on Amazon. As such...replacement is high. At Porto Mobility they are $369-$389 each and there are 2. Battery listed for 5 years to last.โ I am only 5" so the chair is tall for me. I feel like I am really elevated. Have to have a grabber if I drop something.I am happy with this chair. It is a great traveling chair. I am going to have to purchase a truck with a wheelchair lift hoist installed in the back. Not sure I can afford a handicapped van with a ramp. If it is trailored, someone has to drive it up the ramp and bungy it down.Oh....and start saving for batteries. It does what I need it to do in shopping and traveling. Wish it was easier to lift, but it is definitely lighter than most on the market. Impressed with construction. Portability provides good customer service out of California, also. I researched 6 months before making a costly purchase. It would be 5 stars if I could lift easier. Not faulting them. Just my experience in lifting.

This is the one you want.
Bought this for my brother, but I tested it first around town for many miles. Does excellent job in handicap friendly municipalities; common sense will keep you out of trouble. Very easy to operate in tight spaces. Fast enough and still be safe; it is faster than most people can walk. It exudes quality workmanship. Nice looking piece of machinery. Easy to master those slanted sidewalks with the proportional joystick control that is state of art. Took it up and over a DOT grade draw bridge with no problem, and when going down the grade the wheelchair did not speed up, instead kept a constant speed; it actually appeared that the electromagnetic brakes may have charged the battery on the downgrade because the charge level indicator went up one bar. I went about 11-12 miles so far on fully charged battery; it still shows two bars of charge left. I'm totally satisfied at this time. The batteries are positioned most ingeniously; they fit inside frame members and they can be removed easily.I'm 6'1" and weight 230 lb and it is very comfortable for me, I've spent hours and miles at a time testing it. The seat cushion area measures about 17-18" wide, and that is plenty wide enough for me.3/23/19 Update: My brother immensely enjoys the freedom this wheelchair gives him. He puts his portable oxygen generator in the storage basket under the seat and goes out for hours at a time. He now does his own shopping and errands in the local community. This is an empowering device for people with mobility issues; I suppose we will all get to that point sooner or later.

Functional but with some limitations
The chair gets me from point A to point B just fine, but the controller is not as smooth as it could be. It tends to be a bit jerky in moving in changing directions. Sometimes I press the joystick to go forward, and it just beeps loudly and does not move until I press it again. I contacted the manufacturer, and they sent me a new controller which does the same thing. The seat cushion is thick and comfortable. The footrest is small and too close to the front wheels which sometimes hit the shoe if it's too close to the edge of the footplate. Battery life has been excellent. The design and configuration is eye-catching.

Hands down a quality, well-made Pocket-Rocket of a chair
I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and had two discs that bulged and caused weakness in my legs. I researched a LOT of moto-chairs & scooters. After reading all the reviews and researching the website for this one, it was my final decision, and I am extremely happy getting it. It's so easy to use, to fold away, store, and charging the batteries. I keep them installed and the chair folded tops out at 58 pounds but honestly feels much lighter when putting in our SUV.This chair has been a lifesaver for getting around during errand runs, going from parking lot to office space, and even rolling in the yards at our home. As part of my therapy, I've been able to put it in manual mode and walk behind it, helping me stay stable. This chair was one of the best investments I've ever made on my personal road to get and stay healthy as I approach my retirement years. At top speed, you can literally feel the wind in your face. I highly recommend this chair to anyone who's looking for a sturdy, well made, quality chair that will easily get them from point A to B without issue.

Excellent Product!
This wheelchair is built solid and has great range. I would definitely recommend Porto Ranger Discovery to anyone, but know it can be heavy for one person to lift in and out of a trunk. Not so bad if you have a SUV or Crossover with a hatchback.
