Review: Exactly what I needed - First impressions: The carrier quickly arrived the same week I ordered it. It was packed in a thick cardboard box, though without any kind of padding or protection inside. Still, it got here without any damage. The carrier itself was wrapped in several layers of plastic including that clingy stuff that prevented any scuffing of the paint. Several commenters have talked about the yellowish color of the white, but my box is white; very white. In fact, it's whiter than the White Pearl on my 2026 Subaru Crosstrek. Still others said their box started white but turned yellow over time. Whether or not this changes only time will tell, but I didn't want the heat buildup inside the carrier that the dark colors would likely cause, especially since I live in Texas. The locks all work great! The top of the box is connected to the bottom in 8 locations; the two hinges, the two locks plus 4 additional points controlled by the locks. Included is an instruction booklet, (completely not needed), 2 tie down straps, the 4 clamps, 2 keys, a storage bag for the clamps and a small packet of extra caps for the rivets should the caps fall off. A primary reason I chose this box is the mounting system, using the 4 clamps vs. those that use U-bolts. Once I set the cross rails on my car to the correct distance apart it's a simple matter to turn a knob and clamp down on them. Removing is just as easy. The carrier is light enough for 1 person however I can see how 2 would make the job a little easier since it can be cumbersome due to it's size. All told, I'm extremely pleased with this carrier.
Review: Great product for the s - Received in a very timely manner. We purchased it for a long trip. It came in and it took me about five minutes to install it. It was super simple and easy. It was a little smaller than I expected but worked great never the less. After filling to it’s max capacity it didn’t make much noise at all. The aerodynamics of it is very good. It didn’t effect our gas mileage barely at all. The opening from both sides is very nice and easy to use. We went through rain and snow as well as washing it off at the car wash. Just the hand sprayer though not the auto one. It didn’t leak at all. In my opinion it is a very good product and well worth the money especially when compared to the more name brands. I would love to see a bigger version as well.

We drove 2 1/2 hours in the rain, and the contents upon arrival were dry, as could be. The unit never moved from the racks. It was light, easy to carry, and easy to lift onto the roof. The only minor complaint is that the locking mechanism is finicky and Hass to be pushed in the perfect spot.
