Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Animal Planet Dogs 101)

I have read a couple of books plus online information on raising puppies, but this book, having specific facts on Cavaliers, is pertinent for me. I especially like that the author herself has had Cavaliers for a number of years and gives examples of their behaviors that reinforce my experience with my puppy. I would recommend this book to anyone who plans to get a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; reading it before the puppy comes home would definitely be advantages.

We have had single Cavaliers for most of the past 20 years. In contemplation of acquiring two Cavalier puppies, we read several books about the care and training of puppies. This book gave us some valuable insights into Cavaliers that we would like to have known 20 years ago but have been especially valuable in dealing with our new Cavalier puppies.This book contains much of what is in the other Animal Planet book about cavaliers but has some additional background information. For Cavalier lovers, every bit of information about the breed is priceless.

Love this book. Laura has been a wealth of knowledge to us since we adopted our puppy from her. Her information is spot on and varies from other books I have read. I view her as a complete expert on Cavs! Her information on hernias was most helpful to us on our last vet visit. The vet always seems to panic me and Laura just always puts me at ease. Great book with great info!

I've been thinking about getting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and wanted to learn more about the breed. Of course, there is tons of information on-line without having to spend the $$ for a book. This is a great book, however, and does go into detail. I would buy it again.

Extremely informative book - easy to read. I'd highly recommend it if you are a Cavalier owner or admirer of the breed.

This book had a lot of good advice. I just got a Cavalier and was looking for information on raising her. The book had ideas that make sense.
