Mouse & Rat Repellent: Rodent Repellent: Critter Out 1 Gallon Concentrate

I know this is developed to detour small mice and rats. But I found an off label use for it. Flies hate it. And if you have chickens, you have flies. I like the spray nozzle on this container. I have used it all summer successfully and have bought a refill bottle and it is still going strong. No issues with the sprayer portion of the nozzle at all.

The smell is too strong. It will make the rodents go away. Its better to spray this outside around your house. Unfortunately you still need to use a mice or rat trap for those rodents that are inside your house. I tried to spray this inside of our house but it only gives me headache. The mice didn't show up for a couple of days but as soon as the smell fades, mice came back again.

Comes w/ the spray nozzle, as pictured, and seems to work pretty well at keeping mice out of the engine compartment. The scent is a pleasant, overpowering combination that falls somewhere between peppermint and fresh laundry, and dissipates in a couple days, so you need to keep reapplying it. I believe the goal is to convince the resident rodents that your neighbor's car is a better idea. You could probably save some money by getting a nice container (like this one) and mixing your own concoction, but it does seem to work. You just need to keep reapplying it.

It absolutely trash.already emptied the stuff sprayed as directed and it only invited more wild mice. Several times mice got sprayed directly and still came back after going quiet for about 30 minutes per spray down of this utterly uselessly noxiously disgusting product. I want my money back for this FAILED PRODUCT. Of all things. If I wanted to feed the wild mouse colony rather than get them out that’s already been done by spraying this stuff. On top of that it affects the breathing process because of the amount of peppermint and other chemicals.

I didn't like the smell, it isn't that nice like the other reviewers mention. I'm not sure if it helped because I'm also using other repellents such as peppermint/clove oil and ultrasonic and traps. I can tell the population of mice shrink and most of them tend to move to other parts of the house I'm using other things to get rid of the mice. Because I didn't like the smell I used other scented oil that I can deal with inside the house like peppermint (but also getting tired of that) and clove. The most important about repelling rodents are: - only scent won't do a complete job and you also need to keep a periodic maintenance reapplying the product - if you have a big house be aware if you use the product or any other repellent in a specific area of the house you may be just forcing the rodent to move to another part of the house and the worst nightmare is if they got to the kitchen so you need to apply the repellents in other places - check the ingredients of any scent repellent as some of them can contain rotten eggs. - ultrasonic may work but be careful with the frequency range that can overlap the frequency range audible for a cat and you may also repel or disturb the cat (you don't want to get rid of the most efficient rodent repellent) - scent repellent, make sure you can deal with the smell as I learned a big deal I can stand something for long time. - if you have a good hunter cat, sometimes get the cat litter and put in a disposable clean container. Spread this container around the house may also be a warning for the rodent. - If you don't want to spray this think in your house, carpet, you can put in a cotton ball but also put the cotton ball inside of some empty and closed scent container. Why? One day the scent of the cotton ball will be gone and the rodent will use the cotton for his nest, you want to put the cotton inside of a container the rodent won't have access to like those gel scent air freshener you buy at the dollar store. Just wait for the gel to dry out, dispose the dried gel, wash the container and put the cotton ball there. You can do the same with the clove and the peppermint oil. But always remember to reload the cotton ball to keep the smell.

this may help prevent rats, but it won't keep them out of a place where they already are used to going for food. The chicken's feed room smells way better but it hasn't worked to run the rats out of the area.
