Q: Will it work with 4 ohms speakers? Simular kits on other sites listed as 4 to 8 ohms. Just want to make sure.

The output transformers have 8 ohm impedence. There would be an impedence mismatch if you were use 4 ohm speakers. I doubt if smoke would get out, but you would have higher distortion and probably reduced power output.
