Mad Anthony's Hot Sauce - Van Halen

Absolutely love this hot sauce. It has a great flavor and the right amount of heat. As a side note, they’re serious about it not breaking in transit. Bet it took 5 minutes just to open the package.

Ok, Van Halen and hot sauce? Really??!No. REALLY!! This is easily THE BEST hot sauce I have come across! I am not sure how much Michael Anthony of Van Halen really had to do with the creation of this masterpiece, but good on him for taking it and running with it. Run fast, Mad Anthony! As fast as you can!!I discovered this scrumptious sauce while reluctantly dining at a Sammy Hagar restaurant in an airport. The server procured the condiment upon my request of needing a little more kick to my nachos. Whoa. I was instantly blown away.The texture is meaty - full of real peppers and tomatoes. And while the burn is substantial, the incredible flavor isn't masked by the hotness. Best part is - no weird, unpronounceable ingredients.If you like a sauce that just melts your face off - this might not have quite the capsicum levels your looking for. Or try the Mad Anthony XXXtra Hot Private Reserve. The flavor isn't as tasty in the XXXtra Hot, but still a darned good creation by a rock star.

Unlike many sauces, this one manages to bring both heat and amazing flavor. Part of the secret is blending tomato in with the peppers and spices. The result is a high heat and a pleasant flavor. It has much more punch than Tobasco or similar products, but is not as hot as the "challenge your manhood" type products that typically burn but taste, well, like heat and nothing else.If I am feeding family and friends who don't like "spicy" food, I'll reach for Tobasco or Frank's to give things a little kick. If I'm trying to impress someone with a melt-your-face burn, I'll go for one of my dusty bottles of super-hot ghost-pepper sauce. But if I want to enjoy something with a spicy kick and awesome flavor, this has become my go-to sauce. Eggs, nachos/tacos, meat of just about any kind, even a shot inside a grilled cheese sandwich is transformative.If you like hot sauce, and are looking for more than just "heat" in your sauce, give this one a try!

I have enjoyed MANY hot sauces over the years. So many are good...but for ONE thing, be it mexican, asian, or just spicy american cuisine. Mad Anthony's has just the perfect amount of heat, and is my favorite hot sauce I've purchased in years. Is it really hot? For a high-tolerance person like me, I'd say it's medium. But I have had so many sauces that sacrifice flavor for gimmick-level heat, and they just end up useless. This sauce is perfect for pork, burgers, chicken or mix with mayo for a great dipping sauce. It's truly one of the best gourmet sauces EVER.

It's got FLAVOR for days! Absolutely one of the tastiest sauces I've had. It's rich, and somewhat sweet. The flavor is well balanced, but the heat doesn't quite add to the experience.... If you can enjoy a spice that earns 6-digits on the Scoville chart without skimping on the sauce, this one might be too mild. Good news to those who like a milder heat, buy this sauce. The flavor earns it 4-stars.

Great taste, unfortunately when I opened the package, tape was used to close the top and it was cracked. Kinda not expecting that. Threw the bottle away and may not get this again, sorry.

Have not had this in years. Usually cost a fortune to get. Finally saw it on Amazon and was beyond happy. A pimento based hot sauce. Wonderful flavor with a good kick that is not ridiculously over the top. Should have ordered a few more bottles.

Has a good flavor. Biggest complaint is when I received it the expiration date on both bottles I purchased was only 10 days away so I wasted money to just throw them away in 10 days.
