Traditional Glass Fermenting Jar, 4000ml with Airlock Lid

I love this jar for fermenting my cabbage into sauerkraut. The jar is amazingly light weight yet it is sturdy enough to pack my cabbage inside. The glass covering is the heaviest part and that is to make sure that no air seeps into the main space. The lip reserve for adding water to complete the seal is a good amount so I don't have to check it every day. I have bought another one to ferment other veggies. I recommend it!

Not so good. The main complaint is the narrow opening. I can't get my hand inside to clean or place weights on top of fermenting veggies. I bought two, but gave them way to a charity auction.

Product is nice enough. However, there are some issues... The opening is too small to place and then ultimately retrieve fermentation vegetables. Even standard tongs are too large when gripping small pickling cucumbers. I had to use chopsticks to both place and retrieve them. Also, the opening is too small for any of the commercially available weights to hold down the vegetables during fermentation.Ultimately, I wanted a clear fermenation vessel with an airlock so I could view the process. And, frankly, I'm not overly satisfied with this item. My search will continue...

Nice shipping speed. In general, it's a nice fermenting jar. I use it to make different pickles. There are two shortcomings.1) capacity is relatively small.2) water, which was used to seal, is easy to reflux into the jar because the mouth is not too high.

Outstanding. Having fun using it. Made KimChi twice and have had my recipe requested.

this jar quality is not very good, and I have to polish it (espceilaly edges) , because it might hurt your fingers.
