Divine sound and an amazing value
I have a bit of a headphone/earbud fetish, and these are the new object of my desire. I've been enamoured (still am) with my 12 or so year old Ultimate Ears (designed before the Logitech buyout) Triple Fi 10s and their three tiny drivers, and I've used those alongside a variety of full sized open and closed designs, but now I'm all in with these Fiio FA7. The initial impression was amazing. The box was large and stuffed with goodies, but best of all, the first thing you saw were these gorgeous earbuds when you open the box. They were nicely displayed, and they unpacked in seconds. If you want to rock the default tips, you're set. The included cable is just the right length and of great quality. It's a standard single ended 3.5mm cable for most devices (balanced options available). Since I purchased these to go with my Shure RMCE-BT2 Bluetooth cable, I swapped the MMCX cable and was off to bliss. The fit was amazing even with the default tips (there's a whole array of options included). The somewhat deep fit simply stays in place without undue fatigue or slippage. These are less bulky than the FH7 and more balanced than the UE Triple Fi 10s I used to use. Sound isolation is great. I also use Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II at work, and these really don't lose out at all despite being a passive solution. These add a driver to the Triple Fi and use a different quad setup than the FH7. It's a smashing success. Sound is subjective, and no experience can be all things to all people, but these are perfect for me. Quick, lively, and able to hit all of the notes with finesse. The FH7 will get lower and provide a bit more grunt, but these feel much livelier. I couldn't imagine being happier with a set of earbuds. Great build, wonderful accessories, and divine sound.

Never tried an all BA IEM…
So Fiio I’m pretty sure have the best whole entire kits that come with there IEMs, they always come with so many different types of eartips, from many pairs of normal silicone tips, to couple pairs of memory foam, to even a pair of the double flange tips. Also you get Fiios kind of patented waterproof case that is amazing, but inside that comes this soft little zipper pouch. The ear pieces are really pretty nice, they fit is great, they have great passive isolation, the one thing I noticed I didn’t like was if you use the silicone tips I would get that weird imbalanced pressure feeling in your ears where it kinda hurts, but memory foam I don’t get that at all. I had never tried an all BA driver IEM before, but I would say the sound is pretty close to what a normal dynamic driver sounds like just the bass is pretty noticeably not the same, it’s not as deep, doesn’t hit as hard. But don’t get me wrong these are definitely have a dynamic sound, it’s very clear, never got harsh. Bass is obviously boosted, with mids being a bit recessed, and then elevated highs, so pretty much your typical V shaped sound signature.

Really good ear buds at a great price
I don't write a lot of reviews but in this case it seemed like it was worth it. My dad was a audiophile and I've been one since I was old enough to appreciate all that fancy equipment he had in the living room (I'm 50 now). These are really good ear buds at a great price. I'm driving them with a Dragonfly Cobalt through my iPad Air, Windows Laptop, and a Samsung Note 9. They sound great and surprisingly open for 'buds, not as open as my Sennheiser HD800's driven by a Mytek Brooklyn Dac+ but close enough that ambient sounds in TV shows that I watch sound like they are coming from the room (and sometimes from behind you which had my pulling them out to see if it was my dogs barking in one show). For music, they are perfect - good separation and you can hear the placement of the different parts of the band. Listening to Get Yer Ya Ya's out by the Rolling Stones via Tidal is pure bliss. I tired out Sympathy for the Devil from this album and found myself rocking back and forth with the music which I've never done before with ear buds/IEMs. Once again, not as open and not as wide a sound stage as my HD800's but then again also about 1/4 the price and driven by a DAC that is 1/7 the price of my Brooklyn. Build quality seems to be excellent, the cable is sturdy and reinforced in the right locations. The earbuds are 3D printed and one piece so they seem pretty indestructible. They are also comfortable for long term listening, I can lie on my side in bed with my ear against a pillow without any discomfort. In summary, with the Dragonfly Cobalt and using the memory foam tips, these are great ear buds. I feel satisfied with the price and I feel that you would need to spend a lot more money to do better, even then it would be for some pretty small gains. They are not as good as my home based setup but they are close enough and they are portable. Give them a shot, they are the real deal.

A comparison with the FH5
These are very good IEMs. With more treble air and extension, they could be exceptional. Comfort: Coming from the FH5, the FA7 are more comfortable for a few reasons. First, the resin material feels better on the skin than metal. Second, the FA7 are slightly smaller and lighter weight. Third, the nozzle is longer and thinner on the FA7 so they can fit deeper in the ear canal leading to a better and longer lasting seal. Sound: To my ear, these have a warmer, more mids focused sound than the FH5 whose presentation seemed overall more analytical. The FA7 are slightly less resolving in the sub bass and upper treble. For example, with the FH5 and solo violin music, the texture of the sound is more apparent as are nuances in bowing and sound decay after a note is struck. The FH5 also has punchier bass due to the dynamic driver, assuming you can maintain a good seal (I couldn't due to the short nozzle). However, because the mids are more present with the FA7 and the seal is better, I prefer them with most music. The sound quality differences are minor. The comfort and seal differences were larger for me. Tip Rolling: The balanced tips seemed the most analytical and resolving on the FH5. I preferred the vocal tips for sound, and the foam tips for maintaining a good seal. The FA7 comes with all the same tip sets (balanced, foam, vocal, bass - each in small, medium, large) plus a single pair of double flange tips. The balanced tips seemed the least resolving in this case. The double flange offered the best sound and ear seal for me, but they became uncomfortable after a few hours.

Sound great - super short life.
I ordered the silver set but got the blue/red instead. Okay, I can live with that. They lasted less than 3 months of use before the right side lost almost all of its volume and then sounded muffled and 'blown out'. Fiio's response is to ship them to India to see if they are able to repair them. Liquid damage? Nah. I use them in an office. The sound: think Tin T2 but better. Much better. They have a ridiculous amount of low end with bright highs. If you want flat or reference- look elsewhere. I got my preferred sound out of them with the blue Tin foam ear pieces. The wires that come with them work. Sound comes out of them. That being said, get the 8 wire fiio cables. They are by far the best I have used yet. Soft, plenty long, loose winding so they are still flexible. Bottom line: sound great, don't last, ship to India if there's a problem and the wires are mediocre at best. I'll get them repaired because I'm already 300+$ into them. I'll be using the Tins until they are returned. For what they are the sound is great. They have a LOT of low end with some sharp highs.

great sound but one major design flaw
First the Good: The sound is great, clear, detailed and powerful. Everything I was hoping for, after I accepted the fact that in-ears just won't have the big soundstage that over-ears do. The Bad: These earphones come with one plug, and one plug ONLY. It's an L-shaped plug. It is non-detachable. There is no way to replace it with a straight plug, short of replacing the whole cable. This is a major issue for me, since I use these almost exclusively with my cellphone, which is sitting in my jeans' pocket while I'm walking or on the subway, as I would assume a lot of people do. Unless your headphone jack is on the long side of your phone, which would be very unusual, THE L-SHAPED PLUG WILL GET PULLED OUT ON A REGULAR BASIS. I have to either plug it back in every 5 minutes or use a rubber band to hold it in place. This would be such an easy fix, if the plug were detachable and could be exchanged for a straight plug. Major oversight on Fiios part!

High quality sound & solid product at affordable pricing. (((MUST HAVE!!)))
A heavy & solid product. It feels sturdy & strong in your hand upon removal from packaging. It comes with a large selection of earplug tips / filters from bass to balanced to vocals. They even come with memory foam ear tips which I found to completely seal the sound. The quality of the sound is AMAZING. Not to mention that Android let's you tweak sounds with an equalizer to custom sounds upon preferance. The stage is HUGE on this product and the range of sound is quite large. Lower frequency sounds excellent with no distortion. Mid-range sounds beautiful & clear. Highs are crisp. I've have had tons of high end headphones & earbuds over the years from BOSE, Klipsch, Macintosh, JBL, etc and so far, these have been the best bang for your hard earned money. The sound is absolutely astonishing if you can create a good seal with the memory tips. I tried them all and found the memory foam to create the seal necessary for the amazing sound I'm referring to. I highly recommend these. They work excellent on my Samsung Note 9 and even better in my home system as well as in the studio. I'm sold on FiiO. What a remarkable company. If they keep this up, they're going to dominate the industry with affordable pricing on amazing sound. I'm telling you, I'm not buying anything else. It's going to be hard to beat FA7 unless they discover a way to create a double bypass subwoofer in the earbud - but believe me, with these earbuds, you won't need them. The heavy guage of the wire in these earbuds are of the highest quality. Hats off to FiiO. I am grateful for this company's existence and I'm smiling from ear to ear listening to all of my old music. What an improvement! Separate drivers truly make sense. Keep your pricing affordable and I'll never buy another competitor's product again! FiiO... You have outdone yourselves. Please keep your products coming! 🙌

Great sound quality - if you know what you're looking for
My first impression of these were not very good, they sent me the wrong color. That aside, my first impression of the build quality was very good. High grade resin from Germany, they felt stronger and more solid than metal housings, which can be cold and uncomfortable at first touch. Packaging was decent with 3 different ear tip styles, and a pair of double flanged eartips in size m. Sound: General sound impressions were that these were warm, laid back, and jazzy. Sweet and smooth sound. Excellent detail without being too bright with a W shaped sound, and some mid-bass bloat/bleeding. Highs were never sibilant, but could have used a bit more extension or sparkle. Detail was very good. Upper mids were also very good, lots of detail, and intimate with forward vocals. Lower mids was a bit disappointing, the mid bass bled into the lower mids, causing the songs to sound muddled and congested in this area. Mid-bass was bloated, but I just turned my eq down about 3-4 decibels. Bass had good extension, with insanely good layers and really good speed of attack. However, due to the nature of the Fa7's using only balanced armatures, it lacked the thump that a dynamic driver would have given. I loved listening to edm (certain songs), jazz, pop, and rock with these. Two Feet's "Had Some Drinks" sounded absolutely insane on these the Scripts "Man on a wire" also sounded great on these, as the bass has a strong presence with light impact. Other edm with more dynamic range sounded poor on these. Hip hop, and more modern music like "Black Beatles" sounded meh. The sound is so sweet, and smooth, I would find excuses to just listen to music on these. If you're looking for modern music, my recommendations are the fh5 or the ikko oh1. (the ikko oh10s are out, but I dont know enough about those yet.)

Perfectly balanced!
Not too treble heavy, not too bass heavy. Crisp and comfortable.

SONIDO ESPECTACULAR
Totalmente recomendables.

bass all the way
if your bass head this is as far as you can go without coming out of hifi/dynamic driver options they work amazingly for rock , hip-hop and R&B, lots of bass literally but its punchy, nice and accurate not distorting anything else in the process, however the bass is so much that it will hide other notes in piano/orchestra a lot of the notes will be hidden if there is persistence in the low notes.the cute part is because of the quad driver nature of it you can still hear the mids if you really try and sound awesome and clear but just hidden and overpowered by the rumble this only happens in orchestra/piano. the build quality is god like, solid resit molding polished to death very smooooth to the touch. cable is fine it works but could be a little better. and for the tips it matters which pair you put on i use balanced or foam, the foam will pull back the bass a little making it a tad more natural.

Fiio FA7
Molto comode nell’uso prolungato.
