CalmingBreath Zabuton Meditation Mat - Extra Thick - Fits All Meditation Cushions

Wonderful service - it arrived early on Christmas Eve having ordered it about 15 hours before.I was hesitant because of the price, but as others have said it really is worth it. It is excellent quality, thicker than i expected and very comfortable. With the cushion I ordered to go with it it was the most comfortable meditation time I have had as a beginner and I hugely recommend it. I bought the lavender and the colour is lovely too.I did think it was square and it is rectangular but because it is large with plenty of room this is not a problem.

This cushion is incredibly well-made. I can see why they offer a lifetime guarantee - I honestly think that even if you used it all day everyday (and wouldn't chance be a fine thing?!) it would still last a very long time. It's filled with stuffing and has quite a flat, low profile, which allows it to work really well with the Calming Breath Zafu cushion. It has enough resistance to really support you while sitting for long periods and I think would work equally well on it's own - especially if you've already nailed your favourite position, lotus or otherwise.It is a good size (slightly larger than I was expecting, too) and pairs really well with the Calming Breath Zafu Cushion. The sizes work really well together and the colours match exactly.I have only used the product once so far but I can already see the benefits of sitting in absolute comfort for my practice. Definitely beats sitting on the floor!Overall, a very high quality product that I look forward to using every day.

Wished I'd paid heed to the 1 star reviews. Nice cotton cover but contains very little filling and offers zero support. Will be returned and already ordered a different mat.Update: as to the above review I intended to use it with the cushion, however the description of the mat is incorrect and certainly not 'deep' and offered no support whatsoever. I used a folded up blanket which was much better.

I have this along with lower cushion and tall cushion but I bought straight from the Calming Breath website. Whilst I haven't used each as much as I'd anticipated, I can comment on the quality of each, all well constructed with high quality fabric and contents.Buckwheat for the two round cushions, very adequately filled and some sort of softer filling for the Mat. However, as the covers are not removable for washing, care needs to be taken not to spill anything on them as they will be quite awkward to clean. This mat is like a massive, super-soft cushion. It's helped my legs stay comfortable and unstressed when using alongside the CalmingBreath meditation cushion. The two are fine to use independently, but it's the combination of the two that wins for me.This mat alone helps with some positions when you're using the floor to meditate. If you're used to meditating with a chair or stool, you won't necessarily get anything more out of this unless you're actively looking to change technique.I've been using the mat for just over a week now and it's certainly made a positive difference to my posture and daily meditation practice. I have used it happily for meditation sessions of up to half an hour. I took a punt on the purchase and I'm (thankfully!) glad to have done so.

I bought this with a meditation cushion to improve posture as an alternative to sitting on the sofa! Absolutley delighted with it. Very comfortable and versatile on its own and combined with the cushion it is a great place to sit and read or even play console games - not the intended use, but it's brilliant for it!The mat consists of a cover with a removable cushion. The quality is really good and thought has gone into the mediation by CalmingBreath who include a link to a web site to get you started with meditation. The mat (and cushion) are so comfortable I'm going to give that a go.

This is just right for me! Enough room to accommodate my cushion (at the back) and my knees (at the front). Being someone who is new to the practise - it is essential for me to have a comfortable base. This product removes all the hassle of me having to prop myself up with various pillows, rugs etc. This mat has resolved my posture problems!!Very pleasing to look at too!!

Good quality cover and nice sand colour.Synthetic filler material which is not contained in its own case.Soft as a pillow. Not firm as a cushion.Rectangular. Not square.Overall, it comes down to price. If it was priced at £15 instead of £37.95, then probably I would have kept it, and then bought more filling material and a case to contain them. But I returned it.Five Stars to Amazon for no quibble collection and full refund.

Insgesamt bin ich total zufrieden mit der Meditationsmatte - sie ist super verarbeitet, hat eine sehr gute Qualität und ist insgesamt auch robust. Ein sehr schönes Stück. Weshalb ich nur vier Sterne gebe hat folgenden Grund: die Matte ist sehr sehr angenehm, wenn man mit einem Kissen darauf sitzt, sie ist eher flauschig wie ein Kopfkissen. Ich hatte gehofft, dass sie eben einfach nur sehr fest ist, weniger kissenartig, sondern mehr mattenartig, so dass man auch ein Bänkchen darauf stellen könnte. Das geht mit dieser Matte nicht.Mit einem Kissen darauf zu sitzen ist schön - nichts schläft ein, man sitzt absolut bequem (5*) Nur ein wenig fester hätte sie für mich sein dürfen, aber das ist "Jammern auf hohem Niveau"
