I am an avid electric toothbrush user, due to their ability to massage the gums, and remove plaque better than a manual toothbrush. I thought I would give these toothbrushes a try, since over the last year or so, charcoal products have been all the rage. First of, I noticed the bristles are quite nice. They are soft, and have an angled shape on the edges. The handle has a good shape, and is sturdy. My first test, and I am extremely impressed. Using the Bass Method....(circular brushing technique), without any toothpaste, I was thrilled with how the bristles felt on my tissue, and the amount of plaque removed. I have tried literally hundreds of manual brushes over the last 30 years, and these appear to do a better job than any other one I have tried. I’m not sure if it’s the charcoal, or the design, but wow! As I’m sitting here writing this review, my gums feel great, and my teeth are squeaky clean. I am hoping to get a little whitening from the charcoal, but time will tell. I will be ordering another pack of these soon. For those of you wanting a firmer bristle, a firm bristle can do quite a bit of damage with improper technique. Always use a soft, or extra soft brush.

These toothbrushes are really awesome. I decided to give these a try because of the excellent reviews and the low price, and this toothbrush is absolutely worth every cent! The bristles of the toothbrush are extremely fine/thin, which seems to work great for cleaning in between your teeth. I'm impressed because this toothbrush noticeably does a better job of cleaning my teeth than other toothbrushes I have tried. I've never noticed other toothbrushes really getting food out from between the teeth, but this one does. I also love that the bristles are on the softer side, which is great if you have sensitive gums. Personally, I have not seen any teeth whitening benefits, however. All said though, I think I've found my favorite toothbrush!

This product came very quickly and I actually fell asleep before I could use them the first night, which is very rare for me. Anyway, when I went to brush my teeth the next morning I was actually impressed. The bristles were very soft and made it much easier and more comfortable to brush my gums. My gums have been bleeding lately, and even though I've seen a dentist, I've still feel worried. I also tend to go through toothbrushes pretty fast (I guess I brush too hard?) so I liked that these came in a pack of 5. Shouldn't have to buy another toothbrush for quite a while. I had no problem reaching the corners of my mouth with these toothbrushes. The fact that these toothbrushes are "charcoal" or "whitening" seems a little questionable. How much they're actually going to whiten alone, I don't know. I actually went ahead and ordered a charcoal toothpaste to use WITH the new toothbrushes so I can get the full charcoal-whitening experience. Charcoal is one of the last ways I feel safe whitening my teeth; I have weak enamel for various reasons. I'm really hoping that they get rid of stains as advertised, as my front teeth are stained from years of drinking coffee, Diet Coke, and smoking.

Great quality and craftsmanship

Can't beat it for the price. Seems to be a quality build. Small brush head is great. Can comfortably get to the very back of your teeth and gums. Can't speak much for whitening capabilities as I have only begun using them with charcoal activated paste. They come 5 per package so should hold up for quite a while depending on one's brushing style. The only con I have is the ultra softness of the bristles. I prefer very stiff bristles but I'm getting used to them. A much different feeling that is actually making me brush longer which is a good thing. Great colors and I like the black bristles. The bristles are black in color only and not charcoal activated in any way. I've used these with both my Caliwhite charcoal paste and regular Colgate gel. Works well with anything. So far I am pleased and would recommend and order again. WWGOWGA

I absolutely love everything about this toothbrush. The bristles are a perfect consistency, the brush it self is very sturdy. At first the black bristles to me was a bit on the weird side. But once I started using this toothbrush and noticed just how soft the bristles are, which is softer than any other brush I have ever used. You won't want to go back to other brands of toothbrushes. I also found these are excellent for massaging your gums with as well, since they are super soft. First of all in spite of being a soft toothbrush, the bristles seem to do a somewhat better job of covering and brushing my teeth, probably because these bend easier. The bristles stay straight after some hard brushing and bending around your gums. The charcoal coating on the brush gives my mouth a better feeling of freshness and cleanliness, and I can't yet quite explain why. It's just something one has to experience. I also feel motivated to try a charcoal toothpaste in the hope that the slightly yellow cast my teeth developed as I aged will become lighter.

I recently left my sonicare behind while traveling, after using a sonicare for 10+ years. I used a new manual toothbrush I had from my last dental appointment and after a few brushes realized my teeth were whiter than they had been. My conclusion is that between the sonicare and my aggressive brushing I was too harsh on my teeth. The softer touch of the manual toothbrush was gentler on my enamel which resulted in whiter teeth. It’s been a month and I’m still hooked on a manual brush. All that leads to my research on amazon to see if I had the best manual out there. I came across these and thought I’d give them a try. The hands down plus side of these is that they give a great lather and my teeth/mouth have never felt fresher than after using this. The downside is my teeth are still whiter when I use the Oral-B from my dentist (yes, the free one they give you at the end of your appt). So I know use both. I use this at night and the Oral-B in the morning. Although I love how clean my mouth feels I am giving 3 stars because while the Oral-B could be my only toothbrush, this one could not. I will continue to use the pack, and by the end may be addicted to them, but for now it’s a nice extra but I still need to have another toothbrush on hand.

Comparing these to a really good paintbrush may seem weird, but that was what came to mind. I don't like many of the toothbrushes available in the local stores. I think they are trying too hard with complicated designs and they never seem soft or gentle enough. So I found these. The bristles are soft. It felt very comfortable to brush. The bristles felt springy. While they are soft, they hold their shape well, just like a really good fine art paintbrush. I set a reminder on my calendar to swap out at 3 months, and I felt the brush was still good - not worn out. The charcoal though had started to fade, as I expected it would. Overall, this is a really nice toothbrush.
