Colour Splash Food Colouring Gel | Leaf Green - 25g Tube

I used this to make some white chocolate ganache lava, it was great! I didn't need much, and I couldn't taste it at all. I got nice, bright colours, and the red and yellow blended together nicely for a great orange.

Good colour, high quality, don't need a lot but can use different amounts to change the colour also. I've not been able to taste it in the buttercream. Little goes a long way so would last quite a while so good quantity. It mixes really well, never had an issue mixing by hand or with a mixer.

Nice shade of green but requires a lot of colouring to get a deep colour. Good value for money and good quality packaging. Doesn’t affect the taste of buttercream. Thick gel based colouring.

This Colour Splash Blue Food Colouring Gel is a highly concentrated baking essential that delivers strong, vibrant colour with just a small amount, making it ideal for cakes, icing, and decorative baking. The main strength of this gel is how intense the colour is. Because it is highly concentrated, you only need a tiny amount to achieve a rich blue shade, which makes it very cost-effective and long-lasting. It works well in a variety of baking mediums including buttercream, sugar paste, royal icing, marzipan, and cake batter, without significantly affecting consistency. In use, it blends smoothly and evenly, and allows good control over the final shade. You can build up colour gradually, which is especially useful when trying to achieve lighter pastel blues or deeper, more saturated tones. The squeezy tube design also helps with precise application and reduces mess. The blue itself is strong and clean, making it suitable for themed cakes such as under-the-sea designs, Frozen-style bakes, or general celebration cakes where a bold colour is needed. As with most gel colourings, the result improves the less you overmix, helping avoid streaks or uneven tones. If I had one minor downside, it would be that it is very concentrated, so it’s easy to overdo it if you’re not careful. Adding too much at once can quickly push the colour darker than intended, so gradual application is key.Overall, this is a reliable and high-performance food colouring gel that offers excellent value, strong colour payoff, and precise control for both beginner and experienced bakers.

Just the right colour

I absolutely love Colour Splash Food Colouring Gel! It’s become my go-to for all my baking and decorating projects. The colours are vibrant, rich, and incredibly easy to mix into buttercream, fondant, royal icing, and even cake batters. What sets Colour Splash apart is how little you need to achieve bold, beautiful results—just a small amount goes a long way, which makes the tubes last much longer than I expected. The gel consistency is also great because it doesn’t water down your mixtures like some liquid dyes do.The colour range is fantastic, and they blend well if you’re looking to create custom shades. Plus, the packaging is neat and mess-free, making it easy to use even when you’re in a rush.Whether you’re a beginner or a more experienced baker, Colour Splash is a reliable, high-quality product that delivers professional-looking results every time. Highly recommend!

The colour wasn't vivid. I wouldn't be getting this product anymore. I was really hoping to get a red colour with my buttercream. I had to add and add and add. At a point, I was tired and even added another food colouring paste which didn't make it any better so I just settled for pink or was it peach? Overall, it wasn't bad but I wouldn't be getting this product anymore especially if I'm going with vivid colours.

Such great gel. You don't need a lot of it to colour fondant. The tube is less messy than tubs and more convenient. It's not too thick but not too runny. No stickiness noted. Also work well in buttercream but you need to use bit extra to get deep red. Doesn't leave a strange taste. Brought it on offer too but even at normal price it's good value. I love colour splash range.

A little goes a long way. And it doesn’t add a chemical taste to your food.

Ik vond de kleur waar ik enthousiast over was grijs toen ik het ging mengen met slagroom. Ik gebruikte het speciaal om mijn gebak mee te kleuren.

I used this Forest Green food colouring gel in American buttercream for floral piping, and it has become a very useful staple in my decorating supplies.I used it for flower centres, as well as for piping leaves and grass details, and it performed very well in each case. The colour is nicely concentrated, so I only needed a small amount to get a strong green without overloading the buttercream. It blended in smoothly, gave even colour, and did not leave streaks.Just as importantly, it did not seem to affect the texture of the buttercream, so my piping still held its shape well for detailed work. I also did not notice any added taste, which is always important when using food colourings in frosting.Overall, this is a reliable green for cake and cupcake decorating, especially if you do floral work and need a versatile shade for centres, foliage, and grass. I would buy it again.
