You turn your vehicle's air conditioning to the max and turn on one of these air freshners and let it run for 15 minutes. With the air conditioning on and it circulating within the vehicle you activate one of these fresheners. Let it run. Once complete you can smell the wonderful new car scent that's enthralled within your vehicle. OVerall, works great, the scent will envelope in every nook and crevice of your vehicle. My only issue is how long this would last. It's been a week asnd it's still holding up, not as strong as last week but I can still smell it. A+++++++++++++++++! This must smells AMAZING and works really well! have an older Land Cruiser and it had a smell when we bought it. I am not sure what the smell is from and there isn't a cabin air filter to change out and I am extremely sensitive to smells and I have a really strong sense of smell. I have tried coffee and have cleaned the vehicle lots of times. We even have an ozone machine but nothing worked. I used two of these mists and ran the ac on circulate for 15 minutes-poof-other smell is gone and this lovely scent is just lightly there. It is hard to explain the scent but it is a neutral scent that I think most people will find pleasant. I am hoping this vanquished the other smell for good and I will update after time passes but I am super happy with the scent and process . I will be buying more to keep on hand for other vehicles. Meguiar's is far and away the very best car care line out there! Always happy with products from their company! Well worth the money.

Genuinely did not expect much from a tiny can, but this stuff works well. I grabbed it for my old Civic that i drive back and forth to campus, which usually smells like coffee and gym bag. You start the car, crank the AC on recirculate, click the can, and just let it mist everything while you step out. Came back after about 15 minutes and it smelled like a clean rental car, not super fake or headache strong. The best part was the next morning, no weird leftover locker-room smell. Kind of made my 30‑minute commute feel less gross. Kinda wish i’d used it before my parents visited my dorm, tbh, bc they totally roasted my car last time.

After taking my car to get repaired, it had a musty odor that would not go away. Meguiar's Odor Eliminator got rid of the smell completely. The scent, however, is not quite a "New Car" smell. Instead, it is very perfume-like and reminds me of my grandmother's car. Overall, the scent is ok, but not what I was expecting.

I tried the Meguiar’s Whole Car Air Refresher (New Car Scent) in a car that had been smoked in, and I was really surprised—it got rid of the lingering smells and made the inside of the car smell much fresher. Setting it up is super easy: turn on the A/C to recirculate, put the can in the car, run it for 15 minutes, and then let it air out. I liked that the mist goes through the vents and headliner, reaching all the hidden spots where the smell might be. But, of course, people have different opinions about the scent. Some people say that the “New Car” smell isn’t really like a brand-new car and can come off a bit artificial. In my case, the fresh scent lasted a few weeks, but it might not work the same way if the original smell wasn’t deep-cleaned first.

My wife has an older Scion XB and she tends to drive it around with the passenger vents closed yet with the AC on. So about 2 years ago she started complaining about the smell, so I investigated and found that the drain was clogged, so unclogged it and then ran some lysol spray thru the system (worked for a short amount of time). Nex trick was to purchase the Toyota AC Refresher KIT which includes a cleaner that is pushed up thru the drain tube into the coils and it is supposed to clean them (which it might have) and then a spray can of aresol that is sprayed thru the intake vents and other places to finish up. Well the process went well, and it improved the car for most of the winter (this was done 1 year go). When I say improved, I mean it helped a pretty good bit, but there was still that underlying funk that wouldn't go away. So 2 weeks ago I dropped one of these cans in the car and let it go. After the airing out period, the first thing I noticed was it wasn't as "chemical" smelling as the Toyota kit, and second thing was I got no underlying funk. I got in the car the other day and found that it still had that funky new car smell you get from the dealer. Well see how it goes, once that smell is gone she can put whatever air fresher back in there. But I am pretty impressed with the results and plan on dropping one in my 2017 in a few days.

Love the smell. It may be kinda strong at first, but the it dissipates and you end up with a subtle fragrance. You can really smell it a bit more when the ac, heater, or air is running. But it's not overpowering.

Residue gets everywhere on the dash on the gauges on the headliner may be better to spray directly on to carpet

Easy to understand instructions, only used one of the 3 cans so far but it worked flawlessly. Really took care of the heavy smoke smell in my car. I don't find it to be chemical smelling as some people are saying, might not call it New Car smell but smelled pretty fresh to me. The gf even moved my car shortly after using this she is fairly sensitive to harsh smells and didn't find it too be too much. Only downside is I'm finding it to not be as noticeable now and it's been less than a week. The smoke smell hasn't come back but the air freshener smell is already fading. I'm going to use another in the same car in about a month, and use the third in my SUV. I'd buy this again, and probably will.

Used deodorizer, changed air filters , and used this odor eliminator. Removed moldy smell BUT it's definitely NOT a NEW CAR smell.
