Pet Wellbeing Milk Thistle for Dogs - Liver Detox & Health, 2 oz

This stuff is an absolute lifesaver! LITERALLY! Our 11 year old girl beagle stopped eating her food so we took her to the vet. After spending 3 days in the vet hospital they were running tests and IV liquids thru her. Her liver was shutting down and she just wasn't doing well at all. Her eyes, ears and gums were yellow. They recommended the liver supplement pill Denamarin however she wouldn't take anything pills no matter what we wrapped them in. As a last resort we searched for a liquid liver supplement. This one along with a handful of other popped up on Amazon. You know the good old saying "you get what you pay for". Well in this case it couldn't be any more true. There were some for $20 and $30 but after reading the reviews on this one I figured well we just spent a fortune on vet bills what do we have to lose other than another $65. We have been giving her .5ml every morning for the past 2 weeks today and WOW!! After the first week she finally started gaining her appetite back. Then each day after that it gradually got better. 2 weeks in today and she is practically back to herself. Don't get me wrong this isn't making her liver 100% better however after seeing her eating like normal now and her eyes, ears and gums not looking as yellow we are very hopeful. It says on the description that it take 6-8 week for the full effect to work. Well I honestly couldn't be any happier with this product. I would pay double the price just because I am seeing such better results than when she was at the vets office. Thank you so much for making a quality brand product that truly shows amazing results. Has helped my pet with lymphoma last more than twice as long as what two vets estimated. Part of an organic food and nutrient rich based regimen with prednisone. Still pushing forward with a lot of quality of life. Not a cure but more time together.

THIS WORKS! Please give it a try! I normally don't ever write reviews this long, but this is a must!!! Long story short, my 14 year old Chihuahua mix who has a tiny heart murmur, but has never had any issues with her liver, had a blood test back in November 2024 to check how she was doing, and to our surprise her liver enzymes WERE SUPER HIGH...i mean in the 1,600 range. After the vet nurse called me to give me the results, she let me know that the vet was highly suggesting i take her to the ER. I let her know that she didn't seem to be in discomfort and seemed pretty fine, so I would hold off on taking her to the vet, especially because I didn't have the financial means to do so. Hence, I had noticed a lot of peeing and lots of water intake, but nothing too alarming. What bothered me however, is that instead of them providing a suggestion for the time being, they are extremely quick to refer to the most expensive option, which for some people its financially okay, but not for the majority. I had to go out of my way and ask them if they had a suggestion in the meantime or any medication i can try to give her to see if that helped. They put me on hold and the vet prescribed me Denamarin. When I went to go pick them up, they were the size of a nickel, almost close to a quarter size. I was instructed to give her half AND NOT CRUSH IT, but there was no way she was going to eat it, especially because she's extremely picky. I tried researching on other alternatives and ordered a box of Nutramax Denamarin Liver Health Supplement for Small Dogs and Cats - with S-Adenosylmethionine (Same) and Silybin, 30 Tablets. She's roughly about 13 pounds and since the "small" option is up to 12 pounds, I would give her 2 blue pills. One in the morning and one in the evening. They were the size of a small advil and could easily be wrapped in a small piece of chicken. I would give it to her 1 hr before her actual meal. I know that it states to be given on an empty stomach, but putting it in a piece of chicken was fine, no issue. After a few days, they wanted me to go back within a week to get more blood tests done, but i waited a few months instead because what was the point of going so soon. I was just going to pay the $220 fee and nothing was going to change within i week -__- ....its common sense to be honest lol. After researching even more, I noticed one user say that they tried a combination of the Denamarin with Milk Thistle drops. I purchased this brand towards the end of November 2024 as well, and was adding it to her food after the 1 hr mark had passed of giving her the Denamarin. After a month passed by, i started to notice that she was not peeing as much as she use to and the water intake normalized. However, she kept having diarrhea. I was concerned that probably the liver enzymes were still very high, which was the cause of the diarrhea. However, towards the beginning of January 2025, i stopped giving her the Denamarin and was only giving her the milk thistle drops. The diarrhea seemed to have stopped and not only did her water intake normalize, but also her peeing. I decided to take her for an updated blood test on February 17th and got the results back on February 20th. HER LIVER ENZYMES SHOWED THEY HAD GONE DOWN FROM 1, 688 TO 133. Still a bit over the number window by like 4 numbers, BUT IT WAS AN ENORMOUS PROGRESS. I WAS SO HAPPY AND THANKFUL! I had a follow up with the vet who was also stunned about the results and when i told her i was giving her milk thistle drops, you could tell she was not as excited (same issue when you mention to doctors about natural supplements). I honestly don't care what she thought, results were there and IT WORKS. I'm not a professional of any sorts, but i try to research as much as possible and try things that can help my fur baby, and I'm thankful I did. If you have a fur baby that may have liver enzymes as high as mine and you don't have the financial means to go to the ER vet, please give the combination of Milk thistle and Denamarin. Obviously if you see that one of the products may be causing issues, then stop immediate use. But you don't lose anything with giving it a try! Even if it's just the milk thistle drops! :""""D

My dog has cushings and works great

Having a mini schnauzer with high liver enzymes, Milk Thistle came highly recommended by our vet. We have been purchasing this brand for the last 2 years and it has kept his enzymes stable. They have neither decreased nor increased. He doesn't seem to notice if there is a taste, so I would venture to say that its tasteless.

I believed my dog was having muscle spasms due to being exposed to products put on my lawn to combat weeds. Shortly after the monthly treatment she started experiencing the spasms. I used the Milk Thistle for about 1 week and her spasms disappeared completey! Great product and saved me hundreds on vet bills!

My chihuahua has a liver problem. Was on Denamarin for a long time, but did not like taking pills. His liver numbers were always elevated, after taking this for only a couple of weeks, his numbers went down. It is easy to use and supposedly tastes like bacon. I use the human version, also made from milkthistle.

My shih tzu would not take the medicine for his liver. We tried hiding it in everything. Nothing worked. Poo So finally we looked up an alternative, our vet approved, so we bought milk thistle and soaked a treat with it and since it smells like bacon, he gobbles it up!

This is a daily supplement I have been using for almost five years now for my Labradoodle. Along with Omega 3 she gets this every morning and we are very happy with the results and with Pet Well Being products!

I bought this product in November after my Jack Russell terrier was diagnosed with elevated liver count levels. Sadly he was put to sleep eight weeks later. This product is not a miracle drug and will not care a dog with the damage, but what I did was buying us a few more weeks With our beloved Boy❤️. If I ever have the courage to own another pet, I will make this part of his daily supplement. Product was delivered very quickly and very easy to apply over his food or just drops in the mouth.

This product works , my 14 year old Cavoodle has cancer which is affecting his liver , with in a week of Max starting the Milk Thistle I noticed a big difference in him , his fits decreased, he was more active and the most important think he was way more happier, Its not going to cure his cancer but it will definitely help his symptoms and help his liver cope with the medication he has been started on to treat his cancer . He is my soul mate , and I recommend this product .
