We bought this dehydrator to produce backpacking meals and healthy snacks. We ran it continuously for 48hrs with great success. We were able to dehydrate a risotto and a beef chilli in around 10hours ready for stay in a remote both where we had no cooking facilities, as well as some veggies and strawberries. The temperature goes up in 5’C intervals, the machine is nice and compact, very simple to use, love that it is all metal, I would recommend buying some silicone mats as it makes cleaning the racks a lot easier. It was also surprisingly very quiet which was an added bonus. Great value for money.

This seems large enough till you start using it. The results are SO DELIGHTFUL that suddenly I wanted a huge one. However I don't have the patience to wait for 10 hours, so to make fruit and courgette crisps, fruit leathers and roasted Kale (wonderful, far better than the burnt/ uncooked product from my nornal oven!) I whack it right up to 90C and do everything for 4 or 5 hours. I might not be killing off bugs but crisps have a lovely snap and everything gets eaten same day so we haven't poisoned ourselves yet. When searching for a bigger one, 90C has become important, but only the ones made by this company seem to go that high. Shame as they're quite expensive ( got this as 'used, like new')

A bit smaller than expected, did not dry anything yet as I received it less than an hour ago, switched it on though very low noice compared to my old dehydrator, fully stainless steel, this is the reason I bought it as the one I had was plastic the trays disintegrated fairly quickly, first of those machines was excellent the second not so good the third unbalance fan and I did not trust it. Absolutely excellent used it many a time now, I dry meats for the dog treats and fuits for parrot treats (and dog) it is near noiceless in operating, operating costs are minimal. Plus it is so much mor efficient to the plastic one I had, it dries better and cuts at leasat six hours (and more) of the dehydrating process. well worth the extra money and I am sure it will last much much longer thatn the plastic one I had (which was three in two years) Therefore bought this one love the size that its stainless and the controll are easy to use, the best thing too it has aftercooling when you stop it it runs on so not to switch it off hot. do run it without anything for about half an hour as it does stink like a lot of ne ovens really, it soon gone, gonna try and dry stuff tonight, will give report tomorrow. I use it for drying fruits (have parrotts) and meat for treats for the dogs

The images of the appliance are deceptive. The stainless steel isn't like the typical stainless steel you find with kitchen appliances; this is much thinner and flimsier. The appliance is so flimsy the door catch is designed to hold it together not just hold the door shut. Also the "rubber" feet are disintegrating. I don't know what they are made of (maybe black dyed cheese). It arrived like this and you will need to put something underneath the dehydrator or it leaves black stains on your worktop from the feet. For the price I expected better quality. The appliance is supposedly CE certified but I have doubts. I do not recommend this appliance, it is very poor quality. You certainly wouldn't find a product this poor in any high-street shops in the UK.

Looking forward to trying out lots of other stuff like banana chips etc but mainly bought this to make Biltong. On arrival the unit was alot smaller that I imagined, but that was fine as takes up less kitchen space! It comes with 6 trays and a pair of tongs. I used 3 of the trays and put in 1kg of steak that I had marinaded with some ready mixed Biltong spice I bought off Amazon. Operating the unit is simplicity itself - you dont really need to refer to the manual ! Just set the time and heat and off you go! The Biltong turned out alot better than I thought it would - was a bit too dry, so I will tinker with the time/heat next time. This is definitely a good purchase for those hoping to do small batch drying.
