Terrific Travel Potty
Other moms recommended this seat to me and I'm forever grateful that they did. This little seat has saved us time and again. It has travelled through England and Wales. Attended festivals, fireworks, and parties. Done it's duty at the beach, in the car, on the plane, in public restrooms, in private restrooms, at the pool, at the playground, at the Botanical Gardens... you name it. The ease with which you can use it either as a stand alone potty or as a toddler seat on regular toilets is great. There have been countless times that we have had to use it pronto and pulled it out/set it up/packed it back up and got back rolling in record time. Our son is 3 years old and big for his age (42 lbs & 41 inches tall). It is a short little seat but he has no problems with it. He fits fine and it holds his weight easily. I wouldn't use it as his "at home" option because it wasn't built for that kind of use and it isn't as comfortable as the Bjorn, for instance, but it is great when we are on the go. He knows he has to hold himself down to avoid spills so we are not bothered by the fact that there is not a big cover for little boys. Our biggest challenge with the seat? We have tried using plastic grocery bags with outgrown extra diapers used as the absorbent instead of the Potette liners - we won't be doing that anymore. If you miss seeing the hole in the bag then everything leaks. We found out the hard way several times now so we are going back to the Potette liners. Otherwise it works like a charm. It is small enough that it fits in a backpack/diaper bag/large purse. I'm the mom that magically pulls the potty out of her purse at soccer in the public park when one of the kiddos needs to go right now, the public toilet is too far and people frown on just going in the grass. (Although most of the moms now have this seat too. We are all packing Potettes. Haha.) It has truly helped our little guy with his potty training and helps me avoid all of the extra wash associated with all of the accidents that would have happened if we didn't have this little wonder. Tips: 1. Lock the legs in place when using it as a stand alone seat or it won't be sturdy. When locked in properly the seat is very solid/sturdy. 2. Set the seat up in the car before you go on long drives/trips. It helps to have it already set up before you pull over to have the little ones use the seat. 3. We see the Summer Infant Keep Me Clean Disposable Potty covers for public toilets. They definitely help with the "ick" factor by protecting both your child and the Potette from coming in contact with any part of the public seat. 4. It is small enough to keep with you... so just take it with you. Easy peasey. My family has always teased me for grabbing it when we go out but they always are grateful I have it is the end!

A must have for potty training!
I really like this trainer seat! My son is currently going through potty training, and we got this to keep in the car for long drives, playdates, and trips. It’s extremely lightweight and easy to pack. I can even fit it into a bag when traveling. It’s also pretty quick to set up during an emergency. The bag setup might feel a little confusing at first, but once you get used to it, it’s very easy to use and pack away afterward. Despite being lightweight, it is very stable and can easily hold a fidgety toddler. Clean up is quick and the bags are very sturdy. And I do love that you can attach this to an actual toilet. Overall, I love this product and it is definitely worth the buy!

Love this product--it keeps exceeding my expectations
I found this product while searching on Amazon for a portable potty seat. My 2 year old is pottying training, and while she does ok on "big potties," sometime public ones can be pretty gross (public parks, beaches, gas stations, etc) and sometimes the seats are way too big. I was initially looking for one of those little quad-folding plastic seats but after reading a lot of negative reviews of those (too flimsy, slippery, etc) , the Potette caught my eye. This review is of the Potette Plus, which I understand is different from the original Potette in that the seat is designed to do double-duty as both a self-contained portable potty (used with the accompanying plastic bag attachments) OR as a small potty seat (placed on top of a regular toilet). I'm not familiar with the original Potette seats but my understanding is that they don't have this secondary function. I was a little confused at how it worked, and it didn't look all that portable in the pictures but the price was right and I thought I would give it a try regardless. When I got the product in the mail I got a better feel for how it works. It consists of a small circular molded hard ring (the seat itself), with two half-moon shaped "legs" that fold either completely inward for storage, straight down to function as legs on a potty chair, or flanged out to function as a potty seat. When stored, it's certainly bulkier than a quad-folding potty seat but it's still actually surprisingly compact. It slips easily into all my diaper bags and it's certainly smaller than lugging along a separate small potty chair, which is what we had been doing before I got this. Figuring out how to put it on a big potty was a little awkward at first. It doesn't "fit" neatly on most potties so it felt a little slippy but I found that I was trying to place it too far forward and if I slid it back just a little bit it would nestle in between the two halfs of the toilet seat pretty nicely. The plastic seat itself is VERY sturdy. I think I could probably run over it with my car without even scratching it. It seems very comfortable for my daughter to sit on. It does occasionally slip a little side to side/back and forth since it doesn't anchor onto the seat like some home potty seats will, so you have to hold it and your child steady on some toilets (which is a good idea anyway). But I've never worried she's going to fall through or into the water. My daughter never blinked at sitting on this and in fact she'll tell me she wants to "go potty on the red (one)!" She is very comfortable with the product. I hadn't had a chance to use it as a self-contained potty chair until this past weekend when we went to the beach and she suddenly declared she needed to go. The nearest public bathrooms were really far away and I didn't trust we would make it. Thinking on my feet, I grabbed the Potette out of my backpack, set it up in the sand, opened up a diaper and set it underneath it and she immediately used it without any hesitation. (I would have used the accompanying plastic bag but I hadn't remember to bring any). I've read a couple criticisms of the size (i.e. the seat is too small) and the sturdyness. First, a disclaimer that my daughter is petite. She's barely two and she's on the small side, so size is not a concern for me. It's actually perfect for her, but but also I think that even a much larger toddler would be fine. It's a smallish ring (I'm guessing about 9" in diameter at the widest part) but they really don't need to have something that big if you think about it. Even if their bums hang over the edges it still serves the purpose fine (much as our grown up butts hang over the sides of adult toilet seats). Regarding the legs, to use them the potty chair position, you do have to push them in and click them into place. If you don't do that then this would be very unsturdy, true. But clicked into place they feel VERY sturdy and I would have zero concerns about my daughter falling. I suspect I could stand on it without it even wobbling, though I don't of course recommend that! It comes with a thick plastic bag that you slip it into that has been great for storage. I keep a bag of flushable wipes, and a spare bag insert in with the ring. These bag inserts, by the way, aren't that much to speak of. They are a big like a plastic grocery bag with a small very flat square of what I'm guessing is absorbent material like what you find inside a diaper glued in place in the middle. I haven't used one to see how much liquid it would hold but it doesn't seem like it would trap very much moisure. It looks like you could substitute a grocery bag in a pinch as others have suggested but I'd want one that doesn't have any holes! Bottom line is that I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this heartily to anyone who is traveling with a child or who is looking for an easy-to-tote potty seat for being out and about in public places. This is going on the list of things I recommend to other moms (and dads)!

Ode to the Potette 2-in1 travel potty
Oh 2-in1 Potette Plus travel potty how I love thee! Let me count the ways... 1.) When my "need to go potty right now mommy!" toddler and now preschool son or daughter needed you- you were there for us! Sometimes even in the back of our minivan or at a park. 2. When my too small/too scared to sit on the big toilet in a public restroom daughter needed you -you were there! I could just open you up & put you on the ground (on top of a seat liner because I'm grossed out by public bathroom floors LOL ) and she could pee into your little bag and be happy as a clam. 3.) When the kids got a little taller and less scared of the big toilet I could just open you up and put you on top of the toilet seat and they would feel secure sitting and were able to hold onto you instead of the germy public toilet seat. 4.) You were inexpensive! Watch for sales because I think I got to you for $11. And oh you have paid for yourself time and time again saving me from changing peed in (or worse!) little kids underwear and pants. 5.) My kids are 3.5 and I still use you in the fold it out way on top of public toilet seats. I love that I can just sanitize you with the Lysol wipes when I get home. 6.) I love that you are so small and portable yet so functional and useful. I researched travel potties to death (I research everything to death) and I like that you do not take up much room at all. 7.) I love that you would be there in an emergency for me too if needed - though I swear I haven't had to yet -you never know,(!) and it is nice to have you there. I have heard some people bring you for their camping trips even as adults. Hints/ tips that work for me: ******************************** *The bag it comes in only carries it in the folded down way. When I was using it a lot as a mini stand-alone potty on the floor I just got a little bit bigger bag to carry it in. *Because the legs can be a little tricky / stiff to fold out and snap back in-and you want to make sure the legs have clicked securely in place so that the potty is stable. Unlike some reviews have said it IS very sturdy if you click the legs in correctly. *I personally love the bags it came with and you can buy for it especially for pee as it does soak up some of it. Also they do fit the potty perfectly (as opposed to using a plastic grocery sack but that is a cheaper / viable option as well) I could fit up to four on at a time so one kid could pee - I pulled off the bag and the other one could pee in the next bag all ready to go- very nice whentime was of the essence as one child was waiting.( did I mention I have twins?'😁) All in all a great purchase and one that has come in handy countless times!

Disappointed...UPDATE
When I first got this, I was beyond happy. After using it for a few weeks, I am quite disappointed. First for the toilet topper part: At first, I didn't realize how flimsy it actually was. After using it a handful of times, I noticed it dipped inward quite a bit when my son was on it (he's 25 lbs). I also began to notice that it slid and/or bent on most toilet seats. The last straw happened when my son barely shifted on it the other day and it flew off the toilet. My son landed right in my arms, thankfully. This thing slides so easily and is so flimsy that the child can't really move at all while on it. Needless to say, we won't be using it anymore. As for the "potty chair" feature: It might work fine as an emergency potty to keep in the car, however, my son will sit on it but has never actually gone in it. The child has to sit on the plastic bag which is weird feeling to them/distracting. I guess I'll keep in it my car and hopefully he will go on it if we have a true "potty emergency" and no other options. UPDATE: I bought the Potette reusable liner and my son loves this potty chair with that attached! We use the potty chair feature whenever we are on the go now. It's even sturdy enough to sit on the seat of our sedan which is great in the winter. Furthermore: I tried this as a toilet topper again (hesitantly) with the reusable liner attached. The liner actually makes it feel a bit more sturdy/comfortable and it keeps it in place better on the toilet. YAY!! And it still folds up and fits in the bag with the reusable liner attached. I still love how compact and portable it is. The reusable liner saved the Potette for us!!

Best invention ever!!!
Highly recommend this product! We own two and have been gifting them to family and friends after such a great experience. This potty has saved my entire family's sanity. Mom and dad each have one for their cars/day trips. Great price and quality. I felt like a shut-in with potty training before having this, since many parks, hiking areas and picnic sites we frequent don't have potties nearby or are only open part of the summer. It has been great for initial potty training when your child can't anticipate accidents well, but can maybe stop the stream briefly to "finish up" on the potty emergently. It sets up in 2 seconds. Stores completely flat for storage under stroller, or even in a back pack or diaper bag. I was worried that it might be too low to the ground for my daughter's liking, but no complaints, perfectly stable as long as you lock/click it into place. Daughter also uses this on public potties so I don't have to worry about her touching the seat or holding her up. The handles are sturdy for her to hold on to. This product is better than any other ring or potty seat on the market from my point of view and the fact that it fits regular and long elongated bowls makes it so useful/versatile. We have traveled with it in airports, camping, works perfect to have a potty up north in rural areas or at friends houses that don't have kids equipment where your child might be staying with. Consider buying the accessory liner for it- we absolutely love it. Prefer using the liner with this product over the bags but both are good in a pinch.

Best portable potty seat I've seen!
So, I have purchased three of these since I misplaced two of them through the course of moving states and generally getting out with my kids. This is a fabulous product (hence the repurchase). This travel potty has fit any seat in any bathroom that I've taken my kids into. It works with boys and girls and has no forward and backwards so you don't have to worry about orientation, really. The sides either fold out to be used on a toilet and act as handles for the kiddos or they stand and click in place so the seat can be used as a stand alone potty. It's easy to fold out and is very stable on the toilets I've used so that the kids don't slide around. That is very important for the kids to be comfortable enough to go in a strange bathroom. I can't tell you the number of times I've used this in a parking lot, park, or by the side of the road on a road trip. The handles even have a grippy, rubbery part that makes it stable when used as a stand-alone potty. It works great. The kids like the colors and they seem comfortable on it for a reasonable amount of time given that it is hard plastic. My kids have sat on it for 30 minutes sometimes, when needed. It's also easy to clean. I usually just rinse it off when I can and occasionally soap it down. The seat also comes with a fairly sturdy carry plastic bag with draw string and a few bags that can go over the potty and catch whatever the kids have coming for easy disposal afterwards. If you run out of those, you can use standard grocery plastic bags. Very good design, I think. Frankly, I mostly just put the potty seat on the grass or curb and make sure that the feet are uphill of the stream. The seat is fairly thick but I never had a lot of trouble stashing it in my diaper bag. I just have to clean out a few things first. The only problem with this potty seat is that it doesn't have a homing device so that I can locate my first two potty seats. Seriously, I'd pay for that app. Happy Pottying!

Multi-use potty
Best multi-use potty! We have been using ours since my daughter was doing EC. Right now ours lives in the car with a liner for the event that we need a bathroom but we are not near one. It works great as a seat reducer and a travel potty. It fits in both the itzy ritzy dream and mini diaper bags. Its perfect for keeping in the bottom of your stroller when you are at the park, disney, or roaming around a big city. I love that its sturdy and works for a wide range of children. You guys have made me the cool mom of the play group😌

Love love love
With the state of public toilets in the county I ordered the potette. Really happy, sturdy, locks into place so my 4 yr old kid (19 kg plus) is able to sit on it with ease. We use regular garbage bags in it and there are never any spills and splashes. Love it

Perfect potty for at home or on the go!
Amazing product! Bought one for my diaper bag and one for at home use. Great for girls and boys (has a small shield for boys). Sits firmly on ANY toilet seat (oval or round), sturdy handles for child while sitting, very easy to clean and extremely practical. Pro and con: the handles fold in which makes it easy to use multiple times when using public toilets without needing to sanitize (your hands never touch anything the toilet does); with that said, the oval part of the potty does not fold so it is bulkier to carry than a fold up potty. I look at the pro of this because the sanitary feature is most important for me. This potty is also great on the go because you can attach a plastic bag to it to make a convenient potty anywhere you are if no bathroom is available. When the child is done, you simply throw away the bag. No cleaning necessary! Amazing product!
