Second Model S, Second Lithium 12v replacement
When my 2013 Model S killed its first 12v under my ownership, I just said heck with it- replace the dang thing. I did that myself. As others have pointed out, changing the 12v on a pre-facelift Tesla is a balancing act with a heavy object that would love to turn into a firecracker with contact on any of the metal it's being routed through to remove/replace. I replaced THAT PbSO4 with a Lithium that was substandard to Ohmmu. I'm stubborn, I thought "I just had a bad lead acid on that first replacement", so when I got my 2016 Model S and it killed a 12v, I replaced with another PbSO4. Poof. Gone in less than 2 years. Replaced with Ohmmu, and do NOT regret it. It can be challenging to retrofit a slightly different battery configuration, but Ohmmu made it dead simple. I'm confident that just like the last one, this will last me MANY years more than the lead acids, and either break even or possibly save some money.

As good as it gets.
We all know that Lithium batteries of this size are "overpriced" for now, but this is as good a value that you'll find. I look forward to the day when this is priced between $200-$300. It did work perfectly in my 2017 Tesla Model S.

Works - so far. Only time will tell if this is a good investment over the OEM Lead Acid battery
Hauling the lead acid battery out of the frunk of the 2013 (out of warranty) Model S was a bit of a challenge. But check out the Ohmmu videos on YouTube as they are very helpful. But remember to isolate the high voltage battery by pulling the 1st responder disconnect, Gruber Motors has a very useful video on how to do this on YouTube. Failure to do so and you will be working with power from the DC to DC converter and risk damaging it.The Ohmmu battery is a lot easier to maneuver as it is slightly smaller than the OEM battery and a heck of a lot lighter.

Fits perfectly
Removing the old battery from my 2013 Tesla Model S was a nightmare, even with the video. The video left out the part where there's a metal retaining clip that needs to be removed, and that was the most awkward part, as was shoehorning everything out. Installing the new battery was actually a lot easier, I think in large part due to the much lower weight.

Only lasted 6 months
Six months after installing this battery, a fault revealed itself in the form of a completely dead car. If the car was parked and not used over a couple days, it would require a jump start to get everything functioning again. This occurred 5 times over two weeks. I measured the voltage when the car was dead and this battery was at 0.16 VDC. I put a chart recorder on the battery and that showed a sudden vertical collapse from 12V to 0.16V. I eventually had Tesla Service put in their OEM 12V battery, and I have had no further problems. Do not recommend.

They come with no battery posts.
No battery posts? On a $400 battery?
