Easy to read and use for making half circles.

I have used, and loved, Creative Grids rulers for the last 6 years and when I received my new Circle Savvy ruler, I noticed that it was made of thinner acrylic than my other rulers, specifically the Stripology. One reviewer even used the word “flimsy” to describe it, which I can understand, because the Circle Savvy is a little more flexible.At first I thought that, like many companies, CG was trying to cut production costs or maybe a production error occurred. I went to their website and sent in a query, which was answered the very next morning.Instead of cutting costs or quality, Creative Grids did the exact opposite by making the Circle Savvy ruler slightly thinner. They have engineered it to make it the most useful, accurate, and comfortable tool for cutting tighter curves. I have permission from CG to quote from their email in my review as follows:“When we are researching and designing rulers, many, many different factors come into play in our final decisions.The differences in the materials between those two rulers can be summed up like this: Basically, the thinner gauge on the Circle Savvy ruler gives the rotary cutter better clearance when cutting around a curve. If the material (acrylic) was thicker, then the slots would have to be wider, thereby weakening the overall ruler and the integrity of the material between slots.The Stripology rulers only have straight cutting slots and are heavier stock because of their size (and were born out of necessity)."So, I now have a much greater appreciation for the Circle Savvy, which I hope to use this weekend, and deeper customer loyalty to Creative Grids for their continuing high quality products and excellent quilter’s tools.Well done once again CG!

The Creative Grids Circle Savvy ruler makes cutting out fabric circles and semi-circles exact. So much easier to sew together when the quarter-circle is evenly cut.

Another great ruler from Creative Grids that will be wonderful for cutting accurate circles easily. Can't wait to play with it!

I purchased this handy grid for a project I was working on. It was easy to use and the circle cuts went much quicker. Great tool.

Loved how easy this is to use and that there are directions on you tube. Still have to put the pieces together to own measuring accuracy but this tool is excellent!

I like the ease of making pieces for appliqué. If there's a single thing I would change, it's the thickness of the ruler. It's kind of lightweight. Creative Grids rulers are usually a bit heavier than this one.

I purchased this ruler to help me cut circles for a jeans quilt so I wouldn't have to draw circles and cut with scissors.I really like the option to cut multiple inch sizes and half inch sizes with just one ruler instead of purchasing multiple dies or multiple templates. I also really like the fold lines that enable me to cut a quarter circle, half cirlcle, or full circle.All I had to do to cut circles for my quilt was to fold my 6 1/2 inch square into quarters (fold in half twice), line up the folds with the fold lines, and cut the quarter arch with my regular 45 mm rotary cutter. I also like that I didn't have to buy another sized rotary cutter.The ruler helped me cut quilting cotton quicly, but when I tried cutting stretchy jegging denim with spandex in it, I had to keep going over the arch 4 times to get through all 4 layers and do extra trimming with scissors. My rotary blade kept shaving off bits of the ruler's arch, which will probably dull my blade and damage the ruler's curve quickly. The plastic is thinner than most CG rulers and easily damaged.The other con to this ruler is that it feels bulky and awkward having both halves with inch marks and 1/2 inch marks on the same ruler. It would feel less awkward if they split the ruler in half to have 2 separate sets of arches: one for 1/2 inch curves and one for 1 inch curves. That way you could comfortably use the rulers on smaller cutting mats. I feel like the size of this ruler prevents me from using it on anything but my 24 x 36 cutting mat. It's easier to store a single ruler, I suppose, though.

Perfect for circles and creative quilting. Makes things so much easier
