Honeywell Safety 18822-14 Servus CT Economy Hi Boot for Men's, Size-14, Black

I have been working on a masonry project in the creek behind my home for nearly nine months now. I had bought a pair of boots similar at The Home Depot. They ended up getting stolen, so when I went back to HD, they didn't have any in the size I needed. I am female and wear a 6 1/2 shoe, so I went to Amazon (duh). I looked at a lot of boots and these had the best reviews for what I was looking for in a work boot. They have definitely paid for themselves as I have worn them double digit times working out in the creek sometimes for up to 8 hours straight. After that many hours, some water does seep in, but certainly not like there is a hole in them. The steel toe has saved my little piggies several times when we were moving large rocks. I have a utility sink in my basement and that is where I clean them. I do recommend cleaning them well (I just use hot water, Dawn liquid soap, and a brush) to keep them looking decent and to help maintain the rubber. Dirt over time isn't good for any material. I like that there is not a hole up top to pull them on as when I am walking in the creek and sloshing water, the water doesn't go through the hole and down to my feet. The pair I bought from HD had a hotel and my feet got wet a lot because of it. The rubber material is solid and I recommend these for any outdoor project. They are not as comfortable as Muck boots, but they also don't cost $80.

One thing to keep in mind, I am not using these boots for secular work. I am currently installing an in-ground pool and building a shed in my backyard. With the never ending rain we have had over the last couple months, I am very glad I got these! I got my usual size (13) and they do seem a little big but nothing horrible. It kind of works out where I have worn thicker socks when it was colder and the boot still fit nicely. I also wear regular socks when it isnt cold and the boots still fit ok. I like that you can easily slip in and out the boot. There are nubs on the heel that you can step on so you never have to touch the boot to get them off. The one complaint I have is very minor. In fact it may actually be a plus to some. Since my yard has been so muddy, a ton of mud gets caught in the tread on the bottom of my boots. This make it quite the process to get all this off the bottom of the boot when cleaning up for the day. That being said, the boots have good traction. I guess that is the trade off for beefy soles. As to the boots comfort, it isnt like I am wearing sneaker when I have these on but I have also have worn more uncomfortable boots before. I usually wear these for 3-5 hours at a time while working in my yard and they are comfortable enough. The steel toe is a handy feature also. I wouldn't hesitate to order another pair of the exact same boots. For the price, they are great!

Overall, I believe that these are great boots FOR THE MONEY. Context is key here. Are they mind blowingly amazing, super comfy, top of the line boots? No. Are they more than adequate for average joe use, for the cost? Absolutely. Would I recommend them if you're a hard-core, every day construction worker? Probably not...unless you're hard up for cash. My Intended Uses: I ordered these for some weekend concrete work and general "beater" boot duties around the house or up north. I do not work in any kind of construction field so they will not see daily wear and tear. Shipping & Packaging: Shipping was fast, 1 day. Packaging was normal, came in a sealed plastic bag. Nothing to complain about. Size & Fit: As other reviewers have said, they run a bit big. I usually wear a size 10 shoe and so often order a size up in boots to allow for room with thicker wool socks, etc. Well these boots I ordered in a size 10 and they fit (with the wool socks) perfectly. If you're wondering about sizes, definitely take a look at the size chart in the pictures on this listing. I followed their recommended measurements/sizes and it turned out to be correct. Comfortability: I would give them a "normal" comfort rating. They're definitely not what I would call "comfortable", in the sense that I think "wow, these are really comfy to walk around in". BUT, they are not UN-COMFORTABLE. They don't hurt the feet to walk around in and the steel-toe insert doesn't hurt or stick out in any bad way either. Quality: Overall quality control leaves a little to be desired. As you can see in my pictures, there are plenty of left over rubber tabs and pieces from when the excess rubber from the mold was trimmed off the boot. The cut on the tops of the boots are a little off as well. Does this impact functionality? No, just goes to show that QC isn't the primary focus of the manufacturer. But I didn't find anything that would negatively impact the actual use of the boot. There weren't any holes, or rips, or broken seams or anything of that nature, and the tread looked perfectly fine. Quite a hefty tread on the bottom. Weight: They're not HEAVY (I've definitely owned much heavier boots before), but they're not athletic shoe light either...not that you should reasonably expect that anyways. Just a relatively normal boot weight. To me it's not anything that would detract me from buying them again. Place of Origin: The boots have "Made In USA" on the top side of the boot. If that's important to you, then there you go. Overall Impression: Like I said, they're great boots...for the money. They probably won't last for 20 years, they're normal/average in comfort, and QC on the final product isn't exactly top notch. I guarantee there's plenty of better boots out there. BUT, for only $22.00 and PRIME shipping, you really can't complain too much. You get what you pay for, and considering I barely paid anything, I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase. If you need a heavy duty, long-term, every day construction boot, look elsewhere. If you just need a pair of cheap boots to muck around in on weekend projects, then these boots will do just fine and won't break the bank.

Will start with initial impression and follow up after some wear outdoors in the woods and elements. Read Steven's comparison review "Tingley vs Servus" (China vs USA) and am glad I went with the Servus. Been a while since I've had a pair of over the calf rubber boots due to my size. At 6'4" I wear size 15 and my calves look like I'm a professional football player. I have to say I was really impressed right out of the box at how easily they slipped on. Nice "wide" opening at the top for my calves. The fabric liner slipped right over my jeans with no struggling to tuck them in. Started with thin "hiking" socks to make sure my feet would fit and leave room in the event my feet expanded after hours of wearing. So far they are very comfortable indoors around our offices (co-workers looking at me like I'm nuts and asked what Dirty Job I was about to embark on). No rubbing around the ankles. Ample room in the heal. Socks staying up. Two thumbs up from me. Taking them Jeeping this weekend. Will report back after an all-day ride on the trails with mud, water, and rocks while driving a 6 spd manual. UPDATE - No complaints after roughly 8hrs of driving a stick shift in the woods. In and out of Jeep. Good tread/traction on rocks, in mud, and water. Wore thicker hiking socks and barely noticed the cold of the rushing stream over my feet. Never felt hot or sweaty and 14" tops kept water from splashing in. Certainly recommend and will definitely buy again.

SUMMARY: These run about 1 to 2 sizes large. They're bare bones but seem to do what they're designed for. First off, these run huge. I typically wear a women's 7.5, which is the equivalent of a men's 6 or so. I bought the 5, and I almost certainly could have bought the 4s and been fine. The 5s fit loosely, even with a thick sock, there's room for a winter liner and another pair of socks. I bought these because we live on marsh land and I wanted something to be able to walk in the woods without runing my shoes. Women's rain boots are multipart, with seams that are prone to leaking, are fancy and expensive. These are single piece, cheap, hopefully won't leak and I don't care what they look like, they're for standing in mud! Assuming these are truly water tight, they're perfect for what I need. The boots are easy to put on and remove, the steel toe is pretty irrelevant for my needs, but seems to have decent coverage and the boots have a good tread. They have a knit fabric lining and a thin but serviceable insole. There are flags of plastic left along the mold lines, but they're purely cosmetic. These are cheap, functional work boots for a wet environment. I'll update once I try them in water, but if they don't leak, they're terrific.

Make sure that you're buying the real boots that are made in the USA. There are other sellers on Amazon that claim to sell the 'real' ones, but they're not. Just fyi. Ok, so about the boots... I was disappointed in some reviews that said that these would fit large calves without a problem. Perhaps the word "large" is subjective because I could get them on, but the tops were too tight on my calves. So, what I did was lay these down on a cutting board and used an exacto knife to cut along that top edge where you see a rib. I cut the top part off of the boot and now they fit perfectly. I have short legs, so the top of the cut boot goes to mid calf. They don't even look like I chopped them. I spent hours and hours in a creek this week and the boots were comfortable and definitely water proof. I liked that they stayed on my feet even in very deep, wet mud. I wear a woman's size 10 and ordered a men's size 8 and they fit fine, so I would say they fit just a little larger than you would expect. I even wore these without socks and they were comfortable because the inside is lined. Best money I've spent on working boots.

I am a woman with large calves and do rather a lot of hiking in mucky ground on adventures with my children. Most women's boots run 13-15 inches at the calf, but I have 18-inch calves. I was thrilled to find these boots with a 20-inch calf! I find that I usually order men's shoes two sizes smaller than my women's size, but I wanted room so I only went down one size on this one (men's size 8 for my women's size 9 foot). The boots fit comfortably loose and allow room for extra socks in cold weather. They have a comfortable shape that suits me for hikes in the woods. The toe box is wide enough that my foot doesn't feel cramped (I really dislike the way women's shoes tend to crowd the ball and toes). My favorite part is that I have enough room to tuck in my jeans when I'm mucking about in puddles or muddy ground. The price on these was so low that I worried about the quality, but they are comparable with other rubber boots I have tried at twice the price. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend these to anyone with a need for a larger calf.

Shoplet did an amazing job at delivering these boots to me super quickly. I was suppose to receive them in a weeks time but ended up getting them the next day after I ordered them. I was mainly concerned about using them on restaurant floors specifically because by being a dishwasher, I was going home with very soaked feet every night being a closer. All I kept seeing was reviews for outside use, which is a plus because I do have some grass to deal with throughout the summer time. But I figured I tried them out anyway and see how things go. So finally I had to order some boots, and out of several contenders, these stood out the most to me. Especially the chemical resistant part, which we deal with. The only complaint I have which isn't much of a big deal is the height of the boots. I wanted them just a liiiiittle higher closer to my knees, but even after using them the same day I came home dry. So no biggy. The only true problem is even though I did get the perfect size for my feet, my toes feel a little squeezed. I think I have the kind of feet that just isn't meant for Steel toe. (even though these aren't steel toe but are of hard material.) I don't feel it when first wearing them. It took me about 5 hours to start feeling them, which can be a bit of a problem because sometimes I work 9-10 hours shifts. I am thinking of wearing thicker socks and see how I handle it. Conclusion: I am at the end of the day satisfied with my purchase despite the toe issue. I feel it worked well enough for me to enjoy and work more efficiently. Thanks again Shoplet. +++++++++++++++++++ UPDATE ++++++++++++++++++++++++ It has been since November that I have been using these boots for 4-6 days a week since then. They have been working wonderfully until the other day I noticed that the front part in the bottom has completely worn out. This leads me to revise my stars to 3 because now I am slipping a little more then before. I still have traction on the back, but the front is completely worn out. I work on the hours of 6 to 11 hours at a time depending on my work schedule with these boots. I never had any leakage like some have. And it did do its job as far as keeping me dry every night when I close. So because of its quick wear and tear, Im dropping my stars to 3 instead of 5. I will still recommend these if you use them for yard work though like cutting grass being that it isn't as consistent as the amount of time I use them for. It will definitely last longer then, but not for what I use them for.
