I bought this due to the daily conditioner was a little light for my hair. I needed something more heavier. The process I had was a prep spray before the treatment and then a product to actually straighten the hair dry and flat iron. I do not think you have to have a brazilian blowout for this product to work for you. A brazilian blowout is a chemical treatment to the hair to keep it non-frizzy and straight if you want it straight, but can work on curly hair also. The product has a little amount of the chemical in it, therefore, helps to keep the hair non-frizzy. Again, I do not think you must have the brazilian blow out first to have this product work for your hair.
