Superb!
The album is great. A step up from the first which was also a great album. It has everything you'd expect from Andrews outstanding vocals, vivs soaring guitar solos, vinnys solid drumming and Phil's great bass playing. Can't fault this album.

solid second album...
While not quite as instant a love as the debut this is an album worth taking your time with, its certainly darker and doomier in places .. more 'DEHUMANISER' Sabbath rather than 'HOLY DIVER' Dio.This is noticeable on tracks such as 'Black out the Sun','Sword from the Stone',''Electrified' and 'False Flag' but on tracks such as 'The Light' and 'Gods and Tyrants' you can hear the band putting down their own style and that augurs well for the future.once again Jeff Pilson has produced this album brilliantly and its great to hear Vivian Campbell rock out the way he cant in his day job with Def Leppard ha ha.

darker and more progressive 2nd LP from ex Dio guys
Formed in 2011 by co-writers of Dio’s classic "Holy Diver." Having lost bassist Jimmy Bain, the band kept touring and have really gelled. There’s a big progression in sound on this 2nd album and the soaring guitar solos of Vivian Campbell are always worth a listen. Landslide, Gods & Tyrants and The Unknown stand out.

Very good 2nd album
Very good 2nd album from Last In Line. The songs are darker, more mature, and heavier. The band is finding its way and developing its own sound. Vivian Campbell is shining here with some catchy riffs. Seasoned musicians delivering a fresh rock album.

Give This a Try!
The thing I love about this band is how, understanding their name and background aside, they make it their mission to be wholly original musically, not some kind of modern spin-off or masked “tribute” attempt. The genesis of this project is that the original band had a renewed interest in each other and the music they very much helped create in Dio, so they got together to recreate some of that magic and make brand new, modern rock material.I absolutely loved Heavy Crown and have now listened to II completely through enough times to credibly weigh-in. One thing I dig about this band is their superb use of space and pauses, letting the music breathe and flow nicely. Vivian’s signature Gibson sound is bright and felt in every song, although in various moods, textures, etc. His playing is top notch here. Another thing I like is the band’s width of attempted style and contrast throughout the album. Some songs have a distinct “alt rock” vibe at times (Blackout the Sun, The Unkown, Gods and Tyrants), reflect more traditional, up-tempo rock (Year of the Gun, Electrified), swaggering mid-tempo (Give up the Ghost), and even a little punk/thrashy feel (False Flag). Vocalist Andrew Freeman handles multiple styles awesomely and I have come to really appreciate this guy’s unique delivery. Phil Soussan is a tasteful and fitting replacement for the late Jimmy Bain, and Vinny Appice simply continues to add to his rich catologue of quality work- Vinny is no joke and his presence is felt.Overall, if you are looking for new music, to support a modern band working hard to create something new and entertaining, have it be fresh but just familiar enough, than I’d say this release won’t disappoint!

Buen disco
