Sailing Cap Waterproof for Men Women Fishing Hat with Retainer Clip Technical UV Sun Protection

Got my hat today. I ordered an all black one. I like that it has a retention cord sewn into it, with a clip you can attach to your collar to keep from losing it overboard in a strong blow. The cord is about 12-inches (30 cm) long, and was comfortable clipping it to either side of my collar. The bill has a slight curve, but not too much of a curve. The bill is covered with a textured fabric (about like suede, but it the label says the hat is all cotton), so any sunlight reflecting up from the water should not “glare”back down onto my eyes and nose. The cap has plenty of adjustment; my head is about a size 7-3/8 US hat size, and I set the strap about half way for a snug fit. All the stitching is perfect, no loose threads anywhere. The Navis logo and motto are embroidered as are the borders of all the vent holes. I’m going to get a few more of these for my crew... at this price, I can afford to have several extra of these excellent hats on my boat.

The clip was a thoughtful and handy touch, and if you don't want to use it (like not wearing a shirt), then just clip it to the back of the cap, so it's out of the way.The colors are good. The quality and fabric are excellent. The end of the adjustable clip in the back can be tucked inside/under the hat, so it doesn't daggle off the back. Looks classy.I got several of these caps (orange and purple), since I'll always be wearing something outside or while sailing. Really impressed with the quality. This is a low profile cap, which is what I wanted. Super!The company is really responsive to emails, and generous. I had purchased 3 caps from them last year, and then the price went up. Hmmm not sure what to write...the price was right ($7.99 with a coupon), hat arrived in box as stated but this hat runs pretty large - there’s no size choice when ordering; yes there’s an adjustable strap but I have a fairly small head and there’s a lot of bunching up...I’ll still wear it because on windy days the strap will come in handy.I’m not sure what “technical uv” means....I assumed it meant some type of ultra violet light protection but neither the box nor the hat has any indication that it has any sun protection - there isn’t any label asserting “technical uv sun protection” nor does it state anywhere what the sun protection level is, such as upf 50...so without any labeling anywhere on the product, I’m not sure it has any sun protection other than just being a cap that keeps the sun off your head....but as I said the price was right and it’ll come in handy on windy days.

This white hat is nice for sailors, but its cut is wrong. It makes a strange look, something is wrong above the ears. It comes very well packaged with an attach to prevent it from flying. This a great object, but cutg has to be improved.

I like the breathable fabric very much. there is a vent that works to evaporate sweat. the clasp on the back doesn't stay at the smallest setting, so i used the wind clip to keep it from loosening. the wind clip should be longer or put in the back of the hat so it can reach a t shirt. i'm still happy with it. I have another wind clip to use when sailing .

Liked this cap. It is light weight. Love that it folds up. My one complaint is that the cord is a little short. Makes it hard to turn your head without pulling.

Nice quality hat, Beautifully designed, very lightweight and comfortable to wear, hubby said strap was sewn in a bit of an awkward design

I was skeptical about the "felted" brim but thought I would give this a try and boy was I surprised! The brim is actually quite nice and I'm pretty sure that this is the most comfortable cap I've ever owned.
