I wanted to move away from wasteful plastic disposables and it just caught my eye, not just functional, but pretty too. Easy to use, good close shave and haven't managed to slice myself yet. It took a little getting used to, but I wouldn't swap back. I was nearly put off by someone showing a pic of a rusty one, but don't believe it, I think they left it wet for a length of time and the blade rusted. The trick is not to apply to much pressure on the razor.
