It works exactly as advertised
Sure, it worked. With minimal physical effort it neatly sliced up apples. It does what it’s supposed to do; but really, who needs it? Then after a few days it suddenly seemed barbaric to just pick up an apple and bite into it. I got used to it and I like having it around to make eating an apple into a more classy act. It’s quite big so you have to give up quite a lot of drawer space. That’s about the only complaint I have.

Bigger than I expected
This is a simple tool, I’ve used these for years with apples and pears. Place directly on top of the Apple so that the central hole is above the core of the Apple and then press downwards so it slices right through, producing perfect, evenly sized wedges and removes the core. A simple rinse and it’s clean and ready to use again. It does sometimes require a bit of strength, and you need to ensure that you press down directly from above so the blades go down straight and don’t skew off at an angle. This particular model though is much bigger than my old ones, and to me unnecessarily big and bulky. It works perfectly but I prefer my smaller easier to fit in the drawer ones.

How have I not had one of these before now?!
Wow - I can't believe I have never thought to use one of these before now. My children eat a lot of apples and to prevent wastage I always cut them up. This makes that process so quick and less messy. It is easy to use, cuts effectively and easy to clean. Fab!

Gimmicky Gadget
It may seem a bit gimmicky to have a kitchen gadget specifically for the few occasions when needing to core and slice apples – but this simple device is certainly effective. It must be placed centrally over the core with care to ensure it does not wobble, and it can take quite a bit of effort to push sharp blades through a crisp hard apple, but the results are excellent. The main problem is where to keep the tool when not coring and slicing – it is 7½ x 5 inches and about 1½ inches deep, and needs space in a drawer to allow fingers to keep away from sharp blades.

You didn’t know you need this in your life
Having considered apple slicers before and then dismissed for being yet another unnecessary kitchen tool I have to say pleasantly surprised at how easy this is to use and how well it cuts your fruit perfectly each time, Coring it at the same time. The blades are very sharp however not as sharply as another silt product but the design doesn’t lend itself to safe storage so you may need to keep in a Tupperware or similar...my only gripe from the manufacturer is that they don’t provide a cover for storage to prevent slicing your hand by accident. Overall a good piece of kit and works quickly. My top tip is make sure your fruit is not wet and on a flat surface for this to work well

Apple slicer
It works very well and is a fast way to cut an apple all at once. I do have arthritic fingers so it is a little hard sometimes for me to push it down but I don’t think other people would haven’t any problem..
