Once focussing has been mastered it's fairly straight forward. I was a bit puzzled at first as to how you adjust the aperture but from what i've learned since is that the aperture changes automatically as you adjust the zoom. I would like to see the manual (sheet) a bit more comprehensive It is fairly heavy and a tripod is essential . To improve stability i mount the camera AND the lens on an extension bar (obtainable from Amazon) and then attaching to the tripod.
