Buy a pair of mittens and two USB hand warmers. You’ll save $100 and your hands will be much warmer. So why the four star review? If you need something to protect your hands while riding or skiing (ie: your hands are occupied) then these gloves are OK. I know that this still isn’t a rave review for these gloves, but you don’t get a lot of bang for your buck. However, I think that this is as good as you can get with today’s tech if you’re riding a bike in the cold weather. Contrary to what some other people have said, I haven’t found these gloves to be “toasty”. As I said earlier, I have a mitten/handwarmer set-up that is MUCH warmer than these gloves for a third of the price… but it’s completely worthless for bike riding. Now, I only ride for about 20 minutes at a time. Usually my fingers start to hurt halfway through the ride, and by the end are pretty cold. When I use these gloves, my fingers feel good at the end of the ride - not toasty - but OK.Now to discuss what could have been done better (in my eyes). First of all the build quality is great. The gloves are really nice - no complaints there. The battery pack is small and unobtrusive, and seems solidly made. It’s not in any protective case (to keep the size down, IMO) but I don’t see any danger of it falling apart with a little care. I would have preferred if they used a standard battery (like a 18650) for easier replacement, but that would have probably added bulk to the design. I would have preferred if the batteries charged with USB-C, this way you wouldn’t have had to carry the special charger around. Plus, you could use a battery pack to charge them when you’re away from an outlet. I guess my main concern is that the gloves will outlive the batteries. If in a few years the replacement batteries are still available (maybe with a greater capacity) then great! Only time will tell.One year update. One of the batteries only lasts 20 minutes now. I didn't use them a whole lot last year - a few times a week. I charged both batteries up before storing them for the summer (unplugged from the gloves). I started using them a few weeks ago and noticed the difference. I thought that the life might be improved after a few cycles, but it got even worse. But I guess that's the nature of modern batteries - it seems like a crap shoot with some of these devices. Even the most expensive things can have bad batteries. The gloves themselves have held up fine - but I'm not that hard on them. ### ⭐⭐ Short lived heat production *by P***B on Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2020* I bought these for riding my motorcycles in temps ranging from 20 to 30 degrees during 2019 winter. For the first season I used these gloves probably 30 times and they worked fantastic. My hands were super warm at speeds up to 80 mph on the highway. After last winter, I put them away in their original packaging and put them on the shelf to save for use motorcycle rides during winter 2020. I recently charged the batteries and used them for the first time in 9 months or so, and they no longer heat the entire hand. Only the pinky and the ring finger are heated for BOTH gloves (weird that they would both fail in the same manner, but they did). I take excellent care of any and all electronics, and especially motorcycle gear. These gloves still look brand new. They've never gotten wet or even damp. However, they no longer produce much warmth, even on the highest setting. They will be used for walking my dog this season and not much more. Other than failure to produce heat, the craftsmanship/comfort/ease of charging are excellent, and I like the push button for switching between settings (very convenient and easy to operate while riding). Maybe heated gloves just don't have a long lifespan...? I have no idea since this was my first time purchasing heated gloves. Unfortunately, I'm now in the market for another pair of heated gloves. Let's hope 2nd time purchase is the charm! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lasts all day in sub zero temps! No wind intrusion. Nice and cozy. Quality product *by N***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2019* I used this all day long for 5 days while snowmobiling in 8 F temp in Montana. Even when going at 50 MPH with the windchill hitting the glove around -18F, there was zero intrusion of air into the glove and my fingers where nice and cozy. I only run it on heat level 1 (it has 3 levels) which is plenty warm and it lasted 8 hours every day. I just don't see a need for warm level 2 or 3, is too hot. The material on the finger tips is touch compatible so I was able to use it for basic things with my iPhone. Even though it's on the expensive side, it's a quality well-made product and it was well worth it for my intended use. Last season I had a different non heated pair of gloves and my fingers where freezing. I also have the Savior heated socks which I used in Iceland and they work equally well. The batteries and charger for both products are the same so you only need one charger when you travel.
