It works extremely well, but it takes getting used to; the further back you go into the mouth, the more you are likely to gag at first, but the more effective it will be. Start by going back as far as you can tolerate without gagging, and gently scrape downward towards the tip of your tongue. I use this product after I floss my teeth and before I brush them with toothpaste.
