Absolutely fantastic! I would definitely recommend the xl version, and get some of the sklz foam balls while you're at it. The rubber ball that comes with this is heavy, it's just like a real basketball and could do some serious damage to your house. The backboard can bend pretty easily, it's not thick enough that it stays straight. I wouldn't let your kids slam dunk much or it could break, as the backboard will bend when the rim is pulled down. Overall this is a fantastic present for my son. My wife loves to play basketball with him, it's a quality item that will last for years and years if you don't treat it like it's something to hang on. If you just want this to take shots with, you won't be disappointed. It won't damage the door, and if you put it on the correct side of the door then it will fit perfectly every time. People complaining it doesn't work with their door, are putting it on the wrong side, you geniuses.

This thing has been an absolute blast. My girlfriend and I have had a couple of epic games playing on this hoop, and it's a definite stress-reliever after a long day at work. Thing is, the hoop itself is made very well. The ball, on the other hand, is another story altogether. The ball that came with my hoop is lemon-shaped. Literally. I aired it up and it had not one, not two, but THREE humongous lumps that made it look more like a potato than a ball. I could tell before I aired it up for the first time that it was't gonna be right -- the inner part of the ball felt deformed and twisted. It required immediate replacement. Other than the ball's shape, this thing is a blast, easy to assemble and mount to the wall. 2/15/2019 UPDATE: It's been almost five years since I purchased this mini hoop, and it's still going strong. I've worn out 3 nets, 5 basketballs, broken two of the net retainers off but the thing still performs like a champ. I randomly purchased this with an Amazon gift card I received for my birthday years ago and basically said "heck with it, if I use it I use it, if not who cares" -- little did I know at the time that I would truly say this is one of my favorite things I've ever purchased in my life. It's helped me blow off stress, I lost 20 lbs the first year of playing it (about 45 minutes of shooting around a day) , and out of curiosity I decided to estimate how many shots I've taken on this thing in 5 years -- over 100,000. It's still kicking. Just buy one.

Pros: -Awesome size -Great quality materials -Feels like a grown up version of an over the door bball hoop -Looks great mounted on the wall :) Cons: -The screws strip way too easily -It's pretty loud -The rim is super bouncy and loosens up pretty easily -Ball does not come pre inflated I set this up in my apartment the other month. The main problem I had was with taking the brackets off. Since the backboard comes with the brackets pre-installed (for over the door hanging), I had to unscrew them in order to mount it on the wall. The problem with this is that the screws strip REALLY easily. So I ended up having to drill through the screw in order to pop it out the other side. I did this under the sink with a drill, and watched as the water dissipated the heat caused by metal drilling through metal released as steam. So that was actually kinda cool. Mounting on the wall: Super easy as long as you have some drywall anchors and extra screws (doesn't come with wall mounting materials). Playing: Fun to play with, but the rim is a bit bouncy and super loud when the ball is clanging around on it. Also, it would probably be better if I had higher ceilings, but I don't really mind too much. Overall: Really fun purchase that was a classier upgrade from what I had as a kid. I also bought one for a friend as a housewarming gift, since it is clearly the perfect present for any home or office (we have one at work too).

Very easy to build, perfect condition.

It overall a decent hoop, it makes for a nice and durable backboard and rim. But has a lot of things keeping it it from the standard. First it is very loud when playing. Once u start using it for the first time it’s going to be very annoying because the foam on the back of the back board has to line up just right with the pate u have to install. Second, it doesn’t come with a pump! I think that all mini hoops should come with one. Also it cost a lot more money to buy it xl then just the regular size one.

Kids have a blast playing

I like the bigger size 23"x16" clear plexiglass backboard. The steel hoop is sturdy and well made. I just wished the backboard was thicker as it is a little flimsy with a thickness of 1/16". Wish it was thicker and more sturdy.

The board is the largest available to hung over the door. It's easy to assemble and very sturdy but the plexiglass still bends and makes a lot of sound (still better than kids shouting and banging doors). depending on door thickness one could, or even better just in case, use extra padding with double-sided tape to minimise the banging and any possible damage to the door paint by the bolt holding the rim set. It's great fun for kids and keep them busy.
