I've been reluctant to review this
The only reason why I've been reluctant to review this, is that its amazing for $45. I feel like I'm keeping a big secret. It feels natural in my hand when it is open. It's weighted nicely. It flips open smoother than some other $100+ knives. It's big. It looks good, and has held up well under actual use.And since it's only $45, its not a major investment. As long as your expectations are for a $45 knife, you will absolutely love this thing.

For my first Civivi, I am impressed
My first Civivi and I am very impressed. The detent, fast smooth flip, and the way it drops closed with a satisfying click of the detent is perfect. Typical of much more expensive knives. Civivi, being part of the WE knife family delivers similar quality to their premium knives but at a value price. I actually prefer the designs of the Civivi line better than the WE brand because they are simpler and less gaudy or whimsical as the WE offerings. One thing that makes it classy is that there is modest branding on the pivot, but that's it. Nothing on the blade at all except on the non presentation side the type of blade steel is laser etched in tiny font barely visible unless you're looking for it. That tells me they are not ashamed to show the material they are using but at the same time do not want to use the blade as a billboard for branding. It looks very classy and the gold skeletonized liners are also a sweet detail. It also comes with a nice supper pouch which is a bit extra for a $50 knife. Lastly the lock up is early and the blade is perfectly centered so care is taken in the fittment during assembly.

I like it a lot
I do not like that it's made in China but it appears to be very well made with a very solid lockup. The fit and finish are excellent. For the price, it is a real bargain compared to other much more expensive knives. I like the razor-sharp blade shape very much and the handle is very comfortable to hold. The gold liner is a nice touch. The flipper action is very smooth with that nice click we all like to feel and hear. I got the tan version but it looks more like a light OD green than tan to me.

A new Classic
This is a handsome knife! The big broad blade is wicked thin and soo sharp. Very well crafted.I like the looks of the gold liners, I got the tan scales, flashy ;)It has a very impressive blade to handle length ratio. Lot of blade in a reasonable to carry, comfortable package. My only complaint is that the detent on mine is a little soft, so it's easy to fail an opening.I've heard others complain of the detent being too stiff on these. People's tastes vary, and there is usually some degree of variability in manufacture. It's still a wonderful knife, but for the weak detent I removed 1 star. Your version might be perfect.Good luck! This is a grand blade, but I'll probably end up carrying the Ortis more often.

What's not to like?
Great leaf shaped blade, great price, flips out easily, what's not to like? Secure lock up, spartan and classy.

Beautiful knife
Absolutely love this knife wanted the green one but it was sold out but now that I have the tan one I'm glad it worked out that way the gold details really pop on the knife

Very nice!
The largest Civivi knife, I think, very thin behind the edge. A really terrific food prep knife. I like it.
