It does not have a bottom, it slips over the top of the mixer.

Does the cover sit over the mixer? Or do you have to lift the mixer into the cover

We’re is this product made?

Until thus question came up, I didn’t know where this product was made. So I checked and found out that unfortunately it’s made in china. So I no longer want it!

I don't know the size of a large mixer, so I can't answer this question. However I have a 5 qt. bowl and this cover fits it nicely, and there is some room in the width.
