Perfect for pasta
I purchased this pot to have something to cook larger amounts of pasta. I have plenty of other cookware, but had to use big pots when cooking larger amounts of pasta. It's more than enough space to cook a whole box of spaghetti or if you're making 2-3 packs of pasta. I am so impressed with the quality. In one of my images, i've got it next to another pot that's a standard 2 1/2 qt so you can see the difference side by side. I love the fact that there are two different size holes in the lid where the pasta water can be drained. I hold the lid while I'm pouring, but it would probably stay in place if I didn't. It doesn't slide around, it's a very nice fit and the pour spouts were the perfect touch. The stainless steel and finish are very nice quality. They haven't been discolored or gotten any scratches no matter the material utensils that I use. It really is high end quality and I highly recommend.

Perfect Pan!
I love this pan! It's heavy, very flat on the bottom (I don't know what that woman was talking about who said it was designed unflat). The lid fits well, and the handle is well riveted. My son, who makes too much mac and cheese, needed one, so I gave him mine, and I'm buying another one. I made pudding in it, and it cooked so quickly with the thick base. I wanted something for pasta that wasn't huge, and didn't require a colander. This fits the bill, and it's beautiful besides.

I Think it’s a Defect…
I bought this 2.5qt saucepan from Rorence based on a finely crafted set of mixing bowls I have from them. I had proof they can make a quality item, so I was anxious to receive my new saucepan. Well, mild disappointment came over me when I discovered (despite the quality & feel), that this pan does not sit flat on my glass top stove. It rocks slightly forward and back, inline with the handle. Side to side it does not - seems flat that way, although using a straight edge on the bottom, you can see the center is actually concave as a ridge runs around near the outer perimeter. This ridge settles back down as you reach the outer edge of the base. While I believe this characteristic does not affect its heating performance, it does lend an air of instability to an otherwise well-designed product. I contacted the company through their website (chat & email) and received a response of little value. It appears this “defect” is part of the design. After returning the first pan and receiving another made in the same way, that’s my conclusion, unfortunately. I think a pan should remain flat and stable on a cooktop. Rorence evidently has a different idea in this case. I also chose this pan over the others for its well designed handle. The girth of the (solid - no holes), handle is substantial enough to provide control and the attachment points (2) seem a little thicker than others I’ve seen. All this, yet the handle is lightweight and the overall weight of this pan is light, agile and balanced. The handle is likely aluminum that is highly polished, durable, but not unbreakable. The rivets on both handles appear to be of an appropriate size and are tight. (Which leads me to wonder how other people have had their top handles come off). The top handle is likely the same material as the main handle. It sits tall on the cover, is contoured nicely but also will get warm, even hot if you boil with the cover on. The interior of the pan is not polished, but has a brushed or spun-ground finish, so no need to worry about scratching. The gradient markings do not feel etched into the surface, only printed. I’ll leave it to Rorence and their experience as to how long these markings will last. The pouring spouts on each side are a bit unusual in that looking from below, they have a squared appearance to them, yet they pour as you would hope and expect. Aside from the aforementioned flatness issue, the design of this pan, as well as the fit and finish are all very high quality. I believe the performance is equal to this praise. I love pans like these, that are so capable and fully featured. It is the ideal pan for those one pot meals - usually consisting of boiled pasta (in my case). It’s a good pan, worthy of your consideration, but forget it if you’re uncompromising in your desire for flatness in your saucepans. **The pan came with an extensive list of do’s and don’ts. All good information you can apply to any good cooking pan or pot. They also recommend seasoning this pan with 2 tablespoons of oil prior to using it. I wouldn’t have thought of that, especially for a pan I’m mostly going to use for boiling.

Shiny, Sturdy, and Seriously Versatile
The Rorence 3.7 Quart Stainless Steel Saucepan is a well-designed, versatile piece of cookware that delivers both performance and convenience. Constructed from food-safe 18/8 stainless steel, it features a mirror-polished exterior for a sleek look and a brushed interior that resists sticking and makes cleanup easy. The stainless steel interior is non-reactive, so it won’t alter the flavor or color of foods. The tri-ply capsule bottom — with a pure aluminum core sandwiched between stainless steel layers — heats quickly and evenly, while also retaining heat effectively. It’s compatible with gas, electric, and induction cooktops, making it a flexible choice for any kitchen. The riveted stainless steel handle is ergonomically designed, ideally weighted, and stays cool during stovetop use, offering a secure and comfortable grip. The tempered glass lid allows you to monitor cooking progress without lifting it, and is oven safe up to 400℉ (204℃). The built-in pour spouts and straining lid are a thoughtful touch, letting you drain liquids without a separate colander, but that's a swing and a miss. I still use my colander. With its generous 3.7-quart capacity, this saucepan is perfect for everyday cooking tasks like steaming vegetables, making pasta, simmering soups, or preparing sauces. Pros: High-quality 18/8 stainless steel construction Even heating and excellent heat retention Comfortable, stay-cool handle Pour spout and straining lid reduce the need for extra tools Works on all cooktop types Oven-safe tempered glass lid Cons: I still use my colander. The lid thingy, just ok.

Great sized pot and value for the price.
Perfect size. Have made soup and steamed veggies in it. Though not as thick as my other stainless steel pots, it works well in the capacity I bought it for and appreciate its lighter weight; makes cleaning a snap. I used it on my electric stove and it heats up just fine.

I love this pan. I think I have already reviewed it. But it’s on the hob right now and I am struck by everything about it is right. The size is great. Not too big or small. You can saute in it. Do veg, sauces etc. . The lid is perfect - has draining holes of two size and a handle which never gets hot. The interior has a good curve at the bottom edge, so nothing burns in the crack. And the base has a quick heating, very stable and flat bottom. You can pay a lot more for pans and get something much less fit for purpose. I recommend it 100%.
