For those looking at the Canvio Flex, that comes with both USB-C and USB-A, and is preformatted with a format that will work on MacOS, Windows, and many other devices. You may want to reformat if only using for Apple devices, but it should work as is.

I bought a 4tb hdd but it had less than 1tb of useable memory. I was thinking of returning it but this is difficult without access to a printer. After three weeks it's stopped working completely, the disk spins but nothing happens. I think these are fake as Toshiba will never make something so poor.

It is a misprint in the boxed section above. The ad does indeed say 4GB but above and below this it states 4TB which is correct.
