I got this mainly because it is vegan. It tastes great and I got a lot of questions and compliments on what brown gravy brand I used because of the beautiful texture and taste. Worth every penny for those who needs a vegan and gluten-free option brown gravy. This is a versatile gravy that I have used in several dishes.

As a vegetarian I had not had gravy in about 20+ years...until now. This is so good. I made a special pot of it with sauteed onions, red wine, and mushrooms and it was beyond delicious. It has made potatoes, rice, noodles, etc into a gourmet treat and you don't even have to be a vegetarian to enjoy it. Recommended for anyone who likes a good, quick, easy to make gravy.

I was never one to make gravy from a packet, but one day I just wanted some gravy and hadn't cooked any meat to make a fresh batch. It was then that I decided to commit to keeping some packets on hand. I bought this not realizing that each pack makes 2 quarts. So it took me some playing around with the directions to make a little at a time. It is very easy, basically just mix this with hot water. Keep in mind that it thickens up considerably, so no need to keep adding powder. This gravy is especially nice for use for dunking french fries or mashed potatoes. I have also used it to add flavor to sauces and broths. I even spreinkled a little on some steam vegetables.. which once mixed with the little bit of excess moisture, it just added a gorgeous tasty glaze. Glad I tried this!

Ordered these to serve 150-200 people at a meatball luncheon. We ended up mixing it with other gravy as it had little taste.

Knorr makes good products. The package that was sent to me was the wrong product, but I have already reordered from Knorr to get the Classic Brown Gravy Mix (1.2 oz) that I need. I am confident that Knorr Professional Brown Gravy Mix, Vegan and Gluten-Free, making large quantities per pkg, is a worthy product.

I had been buying the McCormick gluten free gravy for years, but after the pandemic hit, I couldn’t find it in stock on Amazon or at my local shops. I read the reviews here and decided to give Knorr a try. I liked it a lot and to me, it didn’t taste as salty as some other brands have. I did find my old faithful back in stock again, but we really liked this enough to keep buying. I’m not vegan, but I do tend to eat more meatless meals than the rest of my family, and the fact that this is vegan is a huge point in it’s favor. I might never have tried this if not for the paucity of McCormick and a few other brands. I will continue to buy this. The only downside is the large packages make it harder to store, but it’s worth the hassle. I have three different brands in my pantry now, and I do use them all, but this one is my favorite. You can find so many uses for it. I hope they come out with some other flavors. That would be amazing.

I can’t send it back because of food laws so I’m stuck with something I can’t use. It says to whisk it till it reaches 165 degrees. How would I know that was the temperature? I am not a cook and am handicapped so I need simple things to make. The directions are simplistic and the website questions say I might need a food thermometer to make it! I don’t have or need one. I don’t even own a whisk! Very disappointed and I was so happy to have found this.
