Best value around.
I can hardly believe the value I got here. This is a great little instrument, sounds and plays as good as one costing 3 times as much. Even the pickup sounds great through an amp. I am very pleased. Would recommend to anyone.

Big value in a little banjo
I bought this little dude two and a half years ago, but waited to write my review. Outstanding intonation after I replaced the strings.Unfortunately, the tuning pegs are the weakest link. They started getting sloppy after about six months. I'd never played banjolele or uke, or banjo until I purchased this. It was a therapy goal of mine to learn a new skill. I've gotten sooo freakin good! Little banjo buddy has held up well, other than the crappy tuners. It's still playable and remains in tune, now that my new strings are broken in. I love this little fella! After 2.5 years, I still play everyday. I'd recommend purchasing a capo for this. Playing in the same key, at different places on the neck, this guy shows versatility. This is a pretty versatile instrument. Whether playing rhythm in a Dixieland band or singing the hymn at my gramma's funeral, this banjo can wail! Excellent value, excellent experience. God bless and Go Ducks!

Pretty decent!
Got it as a gift for someone else. Set up was easy, it sounded pretty good, the pick-up worked well, all the other bells and whistles were a plus. The build quality made it functional, though not remarkable. Perfect for beginners!

An Easy Transition
I am pleased with this banjolele. It is inexpensive, easy to set up, and sounds good. If you are already a ukulele player, the transition to this banjolele is really easy. The tuning is the same so chords are the same and notes are in the same place on the frets. This is an easy way of getting a whole different type of sound.

Okay for it’s price point
3 1/2 stars. Overall the construction appears solid, the fret edges were not finished properly and were sharp along the whole neck. Yes, I can take care of it myself, but it demonstrates a little lack of quality control. This banjolele to me, did not sound as clear or loud as an Oscar Schmidt banjolele a friend brought over. It’s a nice instrument for it’s price point but adheres to the adage you get what you pay for.Edit,Having had the chance to evaluate this further, once a proper setup was done, this is a fun banjolele to play. It’s tuners, while unbranded, seem to work well. The neck is now comfortable to play with low action on the strings. The accessories included were nice, a stick on piezo pickup, which is not required for this instrument to be heard above others. It functions adequately, not high quality, be reliably. The bridge setting gauge was a nice touch. It’s string change time and I still think banjo wise this sounds slightly muffled compared to others so I think I’m going to try Living Water low g strings and see if I get better sustain. In short, I can recommend this, if you bear in mind that it most likely will need a good setup, but you will end up with a nice playable instrument.
