It looked a bit flimsy at first, but after several months of almost daily use, it’s just fine. Light weight and easy to store away.

Great sturdy strong pole, couldn’t figure out how to extend as no instructions but it was just very stiff to turn the plastic tightening part, to pull the pole out. only thing I would suggest is possibly wrapping better than what looked like a black bag as it was dented and bent at the bottom when it arrived. Other than that great price and product.

Don’t buy this. Leave this page after reading this review. Don’t return. Why? Because if you’re looking for a washing line pole that will not be damaged, and which will be sturdy and reliable, you can’t guarantee that you’re receive one here. Here’s why I urge you to look elsewhere, based on my experience:1) You can’t trust that you’ll receive a useable pole. Mine arrived bent and twisted. It had no protection around it—the address label was wrapped around the pole—which meant that it had been badly damaged, but it is obviously made of a very weak metal, to have sustained so much damage this easily. Because of the damage, the pole I received could not even be extended and was impossible to use. It had to be thrown away. Please see the photos.2) This is not a product that will last you for some time. It is clearly a very weak pole. Mine had large dings, bends, and was twisted. The plastic hook is of a type that will easily snap. The fact that my pole arrived in such laughable condition says much about how easily the poles could be damaged during use, if you got that far (I can’t imagine it withstanding many strong breezes).3) If you order the pole, you won’t easily be able to replace it if it’s damaged, which it probably will be—it took me a full month and several messages, which included the photos, to receive a refund. A tiring and silly experience. I had to go and buy a replacement long before all of this had been processed.I see that other recent reviews show that many people have had experiences similar to my own. I can only imagine that mine is part a new batch that is of terrible quality.I rarely post negative reviews, but this experience has been extremely poor. I hope that it will enable you to avoid any similar nonsense.This shouldn’t be a difficult business—it is only a washing line pole! Buy a simple, well made, strong one—spend just a bit more if necessary—but turn away from this one.

These have survived wind, rain, frost and being used as improvised fighting sticks by the children and still do what they are supposed to. Good height even withiut extending and if extended fully would reach a crazily high washing line. No degradation of the metal or screw thread on the adjustable height. Would recommend.

One of the poles arrived dented and both poles had various minor paint chips. They seem stable enough and certainly extend sufficiently for the intended purpose. However, I wouldn't consider storing them outside for any prolonged poeriod as they don't seem particularly "weatherpoof".However, they're good enough for what I needed.

Clothes prop, lightweight but very reasonable price and does the job.

On arrival looked a bit light weight as the pole itself was quite “slim”, but on using, it’s more than adequate for the price.I was a little miffed to find that after ordering blue, one half was blue the other orange! Looks quite striking in the garden!
