I put these into a casing and used an Arduino to control them as a prop in an Escape room. Worked really well.

One out of six of them wasn't working upon arrival, the wires are very delicate and it had snapped and broken the circuit. I didn't want to return them as I had bought them to use as part of a Christmas present and I would have had to return them all and wouldn't have received a replacement in time. The other five were OK but the batteries died really quickly so I had to buy new batteries, when I put in the replacement batteries the lights were much brighter so the batteries they came with were clearly rubbish. I managed to fix the broken one by twisting the wires round each other. They were cheap, you get what you pay for, I chose them because I wanted a very small battery pack that I could tape to the back of a photo frame and for this job they worked well but after buying replacement batteries they didn't end up being as cheap as I'd hoped.
