I've been building my 2000 Dodge Dakota for being an off grid camping rig. I mounted nearly everything on the inside of the topper for security reasons. With that said I bought two sets of these one for each farm jack. The only reason for 4 stars is all they are; are mounts. They don't have a means to secure the jacks to the mounts especially if you are going off roading. They are built with 1/4 inch steel and coated with rugged paint for protection. The look nice and function as they should and easy to install. Tip though; if you are mounting these to anything other than metal I suggest using 1" (or more) diameter washers and for better securement a lock washer along with a locking nut as a safety precaution. Another I suggest to use heavy duty eyelet bolts for the top so you can secure the jack to the mount. I had them mounted horizontally. Even without the means to secure the jacks; I made the right choice on buying these mounts.

Strong, well made. I didn't do the hood mount, I bolted vertically to my tool box in my bed. Locking tab perfect for a (HF) longer shanked padlock - no need for the expensive locking knobs.

GOT THE BIG RED JACK OUT OF THE PICK-UP SADDLE TOOLBOX AND ATTACHED IT TO THE OUTSIDE OF IT!

Great price for the item, it's sturdy enough to do the job of holding the jack, however the bolts appear to be a china cheap grade of stainless steel and they'll rust a little. Also, the black paint is definitely not long term. Best advice is to paint them with a good coat of quality spray paint and or coat them with a liquid bed liner type paint if you have a can already being used for something else. But again, for the price I'm good with it.

The kit includes bolts, but reviewers report they're M8x1.25 thread instead of the correct 5/16-18 thread for Jeep YJ hood hinges Some customers experienced stripped bolts before proper tightening Recommendation: Purchase proper 5/16-18 bolts separately to avoid damaging your hood hinge threads

Inexpensive and Simple but does the job great

For 30$, it's a better solution than making your own. Pros: thick metal gauge, holes fit jeep TJ 1999. Helps relocate your hi-lift jack. Properly installed, IT DOES NOT hinder your washer nozzle sprays or vision. Cons: paint feels cheap and must be repainted IMMEDIATELY after install to avoir rust setting in. NO INSTRUCTIONS. Hinders the full opening of the hood with my hi-lift jack (when you open the hood all the way to the windshield, the hi-lift jack contacts the cowl and can scratch/bend cowl.) Also, hardware provided is not locking do bolts may come off due to vibration while driving. I had to make my own locking bolts with cotter pins and wing nut bolts for ease of access and safety. (See attached pictures)

UPDATE: flipped the jack around and now it clears the wiper spray. Not crack powder coated like it shows in the pictures. The screws didn’t thread into my 05 TJ however I was able to re use my screws. The washer spray hits the jack so that pretty much makes the sprayer useless. It seems semi sturdy overall so I guess it’s alright.
