Very nice case but...
I really like the case. It's very thin and the design is extremely close to Apple's look and design of the actual iPhone. This product comes with beautiful screen protectors for the front and back. The ONLY two drawbacks I have with this product is almost every manufacturer of screen protectors and skins will guarantee not only their product's functionality, but also even your ability to install it correctly. I have installed dozens of skins from a variety of manufacturers on my own devices as well as family/friends devices. Everyone wants me to install theirs because I get them on perfectly. And almost always without a problem. I'm really anal about getting them on super straight and even more anal about getting them on without dust, dirt, or even an air bubble under them. But even then, sometimes things happen. Usually if you screw up during installation most manufacturers will replace the skin even if you were the one who destroyed trying to put it on.It just so happens that I payed a lot of money for this case and the skins that came with it. It also just so happened that when I was getting ready to install the front screen skin it popped out of my hands and landed on the floor in my kitchen. Now we keep our house extremely clean. However, the floor in an operating room in a hospital is not even clean enough for a self adhering screen protector to have land on it. So naturally there were now specs of whatever all stuck to it. I rinsed the screen protector off under cool water taking a lot of extra care not to damage or scratch the adhesive on the protector in the process.I have several bottles of screen protector solution (that not only lubricates but cleans as well) in my desk draw so I did my very best to make sure the protector was absolutely clean before installing it. Even with as much effort and care as I put into cleaning it, there were three tiny specs of whatever still stuck to the protector that you can see when installed on the phone. I carefully removed the skin from the phone and cleaned it again. And again. And again. In the process I got two of the specs off but not without first scratching the adhesive. I knew it! I wound up just leaving the third spec as it is just because of the damage I did to trying to get the other two off. I installed it for the last time. The two scratches are VERY visible as is the third spec on the black band up near the receiver and front facing camera. Of course it couldn't be somewhere in the actual screen area where it would be less noticeable when the phone is on.Now I realize that NONE of this is Spigen's fault. I have no one to blame but myself. But what can you do? $hlt happens. But at $32 you would think that Spigen would be nice enough to extend the courtesy of a replacement screen protector even though they weren't the one to destroy it. Another nice thing about companies that extend that courtesy is that there are times when your device dies and has to be replaced. Sometimes removal and reinstallation of the skin is not able to be done correctly or without some sort of damage to it. Say you are away on vacation. You drop your iphone in the water at the beach. You take it the Apple store to get a new phone. They are not going to R&R your screen protector for you there. You will have to remove it and replace it yourself under less than optimal conditions. That protector is going to get ruined. Almost every other manufacturer will replace that protector for you out of customer courtesy. So my next choice will probably not be another Spigen for just that very reason. The second drawback is this: The three piece rear protector that's included with is case is beautifully designed. The texture and look mimic's Apple's Glass-Aluminum-Glass look and feel incredibly well. However the center piece is slightly too small so you either have to split the difference with the center skin and bottom skin or have the bottom skin make up the difference entirely and have it fall short of the outer band. I split the difference between the center skin and the bottom. I could not move the top skin down to split the differences between all three, which would have been better, but if I had done that then I would have moved the skin too low and have it wind up in the rear camera's lens area. That was not an option. The seam where the the top skin and the center skin meet is absolutely PERFECT. You cannot see nor feel the seem if installed correctly. Amazing! However, because the bottom skin does not fit tight against the short center skin, you can see and feel the gap between those two. This is what happens when you are this anal about stuff, are a perfectionist, and expect everything to be perfect. Life is less than perfect. Even at $32.

Great quality bumper and excellent screen protectors
I'm pretty confused by the reviews that say the quality/fit of this case is poor. I just received my case and the fit is perfect and the quality is also great. I do think however that $32 for a bumper is very overpriced, and would rather buy the bumper alone and not have all the accessories that come with it, especially since I ended up using only the back protector, and had to order the matte screen protectors separately, because the clear ones are fingerprint magnets and I hate fingerprints. But so far I have to say I'm really liking Spigen's products. Their matte screen protectors, though overpriced, are far superior to the cheap ones you buy in bulk. I also ordered a case that came with a screen protector for the Note II and I have to say the best thing about their screen protectors is that they go on very easily and smoothly; none of the screen protectors have bubbles underneath. As for the bumper itself, the metal slate one is the best match for the black iphone 5. It's a little more on the grey side when you compare it to the aluminum on the iphone, which has a slight blue tint to it. But you can't even notice the difference. What I love is that it has lay on the table feature on both the back and front. And the bumper doesn't move around at all; I can tell that it will stay on and protect both sides if it falls. I haven't noticed any interference with the sound quality either. It just feels like a strong sturdy bumper made of good quality materials. It's smooth to the touch all over, so you don't really miss the feeling of the naked iphone. It definitely does cut out a lot of the bulk that most cases add to the phone, yet it's definitely way more protective than those ultra thin cases that leave the top and corners exposed, as those areas are most likely to get scuffed or impacted if the phone falls.

people who choose one star reviews are full of it...
just because you didn't like it doesn't mean the product is bad or deserves one star in any way. people that do that have no idea how to review something. NOTHING deserves one star unless you literally receive a hung of crap. now that i've gotten this off my chest, i must say that I am pleased with this product. i had originally read reviews stating that it was not tight enough but first of all, the bumper fits absolutely perfect, second, i challenge anyone with an issue to find a bumper that doesn't pull out on the sides a little bit because that is all that this does and it only happens when you physically grab the sides and pull. obviously the price is a little high and it's most likely due to the intense amount of plastic that went into the packaging but oh well, it doesnt seem to be affecting the sales in any way. overall, if you're looking for a bumper that is literally the exact same thickness and width as the iphone 5's sides (other than the small amount of rubber that keeps the phone from falling directly on it's face) this is the best one you will find...guaranteed.

Nice Design. Wish it was more Durable and Rugged
This minimalistic bumper case does not add much bulk to the iphone 5. I purchased mine in Jan-2013 and last week the outer polycarbonate frame snapped. After about 4 months use, the bumper silicone/frame started to come off the phone very easily with little inadvertent pressure on any of the corners (like when putting and removing from a tight jean pocket). But everytime, it was easy to put back on. The front screen protector is really great and is truly ultra clear with great visibility without any distortion. The top and bottom of the rear 3 piece protectors; started coming off frequently after about 6 months of use. I would attribute this to the bumper getting loose as mentioned earlier, which started pulling these top and bottom protectors out, whenever the bumper slid out. I must say that it was overall good while it lasted; it protected my phone from quite a few slips and falls on hard concrete. Rating it 3 since the quality didn't hold. The outer polycarbonate frame lost it's nice black-slate color in about 2 months and bumper overall looked very ordinary.

Slim and smart
I spent some considerable time trying to find the slimmest most integrated looking bumper and this fits the bill! Reading the reviews helped, as clarified that the "Metal Series" did not mean it was metal at all and is simply coloured plastic. Don't let this put you off though as the overall finish when fitted is very tight and looks as if part of the original phone. The rubber is very slim compared to previous "standard" bumpers and very smoothly finished with a machined look - not rounded but bevelled.I have only two minor gripes that come with the fact it is so snug and close on tolerances - 1. The mute switch is hard to get at with a normal finger/fingernail and I usually resort to the nib of a biro, 2. The lightening and headphone slots are on the small side. This means that my Sennheiser plug fits, but my in car aux phono lead doesn't, I had to buy one with a really slim plug. The same applies for the lightning will only fit a usb lead, my HDMI adapter is slightly too big and you can forget an apple 30pin adapter completely! I've resorted to moving towards wireless connectivity instead as a result (not such a bad idea anyway).Overall it looks very good, is super slim profile and fits very well. I also fitted the screen and back protectors (don't normally bother) and they seem very good too. Not cheap for such a small item, but given the phones value and the importance of keeping my phone tidy looking and protected, does the job nicely and has helped my migrate away from legacy connectors to boot!

Lovely
I don't know why the other reviews seem to hate this so much!I've been using this case for about 6 months now and it hasn't failed me. The rubber bumper cushions my phone so well - I've dropped it countless times and it hasn't got a single dent in it. I also used the screen protectors for a while, but have settled on taking them off and just showing off the pure iPhone as the rubber lips around the front and back enough for it to protect from most damage. If you are like me and have a black iPhone 5 which has scuffed around the edges quite badly, I'd suggest getting this. It covers the blemishes whilst still being able to show off the iPhone's gorgeous aluminium back (the reason I got it in the first place!)As for charging, as with most of the decent iPhone 5 cases I've tried, it will fit the official charger cable but not any adaptors and the like. The rubber has also loosed over time, but the plastic case still holds it all together nicely. I don't think reviewers have thought of the complications of having a metal bumper - it would be so incredibly inflexible that you wouldn't even be able to fit it over the rubber bumper. It would also not be great at absorbing shock so would probably dent upon being dropped. My suggestions for improvement would be to make the rubber smaller and tighter around the phone, and supply matte screen and back protectors instead.

Not as overpriced as it looks.
This is an excellent little bumper that adds very little bulk or weight to the iPhone 5.If you were just getting a bumper for this price you'd think you were paying too much (but when you compare the price of a Genuine Apple Bumper for the iPhone 4, which was £26 by itself) this is a bargain. It comes complete with a both a front and rear plastic protector, which are both of equally good quality. The rear protector is of the same texture and feel of the back of the iPhone 5, so is barely noticeable. On the black version of the iPhone you do get a halo like effect around the Apple logo and the wording iPhone, but I think that makes it look better. I haven't actually used the front screen protector as I already had a Moshi iVisor installed. There are also some Jelly Home buttons included, which again are of an excellent quality, but I haven't actually used them as I already had a Spigen Aluminium Home Button installed (which in my opinion are the buttons that should be included with this package.Overall, highly recommended as you get all round protection for your new and shiny gadget.

Poor value for money
I was quite shocked by what I got for the money with this product. I got a screen protector front and rear, rear one promptly failed around the camera and the rubber, I thought it was metal, bumper around the phone occasionally comes off when you take the phone out of your pocket. I had previously had a Melcko leather flip cover for my iphone 4 , i'm so dissappointed with this Spigen cover that I've just ordered another Melcko one to replace this.
