Beadaholique WS3 VKIT- Three Sizes 21-Piece Metal Wire Snowflake Form with Fun Beading Project, Silver

I wish I would have found these sooner. I used to make my own forms with wire, but it took forever. These pre made forms make crafting beaded snowflakes way easier and more fun! The wire is pretty perfect because it is a thin enough gauge that most beads fit on it, but it's sturdy enough to you can actually put several glass beads (a little heavier) on and it will hold its shape. I throw all kinds of beads on these- acrylic, glass, wooden, and then loop the ends to hold the beads on with a small pair of pliers. I used these for a group crafting project with about 12 women (of which some craft regularly and some not at all) and they all really enjoyed it and took home well made ornaments. I recommend the set too because things always look better in groups of 3!

These are perfect to make snowflake ornaments, either for the tree or for hanging in a window. I made a green and silver one for my friend's birthday, right around St. Paddy's day. She loves it in her east facing window. If you like beading, this will be another rewarding craft item for you. I plan on making 6 or 7 in blues and crystal, to hang in our sunroom during our long snowy winters, and some in red for Christmas ornaments. I used my everyday beading needle nose pliers to bend down the ends after stringing on the beads, and to hang it I used clear plastic lace with small pony beads to match the colors in the snowflake. You could easily use clear fishing line, a thin ribbon, or fine chain to hang. Also I found it easiest to complete each "spoke" before starting another.

These are pretty great! You might want to just use glue at the ends instead of bending them over. I chipped a number of beads trying to accomplish this, and in one case, made it so tight while trying to bend it that the leg broke off in the middle. Going looser made it look uneven/too empty when hung up. These are REALLY hard to bend. As long as I'm planning on glue at the end (or maybe clear thread through the beads and tied around the end beads?) I'd buy them again.

I purchased these forms to make...yep, snowflakes! These are well made and none of them came apart while or after filling with beads. I have purchased other brands that did in fact pop off at the center joint. This set has a great variety of sizes. Highly recommend! You may want to order more than one set....these are easy and beautiful to make.

I made sun catchers with this product. They turned out awesome.

I have bought this product for 7-8 years. The center needs to be reinforced with floral wire before beading because of the torque required to bend the ends of the wire. You can make incredibly beautiful snowflakes and not have any two be alike. I enjoy giving them as gifts and decorating with them. On 6/26/18 I paid 8.54 for these. Within a week they are 14.99. Why? I’m clueless.
