Will this blade work for me?** A: I haven't tried it on this thick of stainless steel, but printing on the blade says it will cut SS plate up to 1/2" thick. Just go slow when cutting and let the blade to the work. **Q: Will this cut through an old porcelain bathtub?** A: Think it would be dangerous depending on the cut. The blade is designed to fit a circular saw which isn’t really suited to cutting up a bathtub as they are designed to cut on flat surfaces. A cut off angle grinder or reciprocating saw would be safer choices, with the correct blade for the substrate (porcelain is only a surface coating… tb may be ceramic, cast iron, whatever). Simpler solution: the good old sledgehammer. Porcelain Bathtubs are brittle to prevent the porcelain cracking if the tub were to flex. I've cut through roughly 80' + of sheet, the top of my steel saw horses, tried it out on some 3/16" angle iron, Blade is still sharp and hardly shows any wear.
