Trying to convert a rocker to a stationery chair but only have so much wood on the sides.** A: the width of each mounting "arm" is 1.1". the hole centers to the outside of the arm are about 3/8". unless you can mount both arms, i do not think it would be stable enough unless you build a frame with cross supports running from Rocker to Rocker. if you dont need the height, go to shorter legs. / **Q: Is this a set of 4 or just one leg?** A: It was just 1 leg I still need to order the other 3 **Q: How accurate is the 5"? I need no taller than 5".
